I used to live off Valley View, between Turner and Jefferson, about 30 years ago. It was a pretty peaceful neighborhood. It probably helped that I lived on a dead end private lane with limited access. The only problem I had was the neighbor's basset hound kept getting into our garbage. I bagged the garbage in a tougher bag, so it hauled it back to their house before tearing the bag apart. After that I didn't have a problem.

I did collect a bullet hole in a mailbox once, and a moron hunter shot a hole in my house with a deer rifle, but that was the only crime I had to deal with in the 9 years I lived there. I drove through there a while back, and there are a lot of new upscale homes in the neighborhood. We sold 23 years ago, so I have no idea what current conditions are, but it looks pretty neat.

What if someone who wants to end their own life, especially if they're terminally ill, has you do it for them, since that sign did give them the idea.

A nice hefty court settlement to the surviving family members would force them to change their attitude towards them..."Hey that good for nothing bum finally came through and earned his keep!".

There was a drowning at Cascades Gateway the summer before last, but I never heard the details of who or why.

The homeless have been out there for years and never bothered me much until I kept seeing this one guy in particular who gave off a really bad vibe.

That area off Valley View by Morrow Rd and Woodland Rd is really, really nice.

Yes, we lived off of Woodland, on Shade Tree Lane. It was an excellent investment. They were already starting to build on several vacant lots when we sold in '94, and the neighborhood was going upscale pretty rapidly.
