Thought you all might find it interesting to see a map of Orlando by race. Pink = white, Blue = black, orange = hispanic, green = asian

Orlando has concentrated area of blacks in Pine Hills, South Apopka, Tangelo Park. Concentrations of hispanics in south and east Orange county and Osceola county:

You might think that if you only look at the Orlando map, however if you flip through the slide show, I think one would see that Orlando is a fairly well blended metropolis. Not as good as some cities but Far , Far better than many...I was glad to see this. Yes, there is a little area over the by Pine hills, unfortunately. But overall, I think it looks culturally diverse...which I like!

Cities like Newark NJ, Memphis TN, Philadelphia, PA, Baltimore MD all have heavy dense pockets of isolated individual cultures.

Heck, on my little street, we have Asian, Black, Hispanic, White, and Indian! And we only have two streets! It's great! Everyone is very friendly and I enjoy that my child is being exposed to a much more culturally diverse experience than my whitebread sheltered upbringing...

Thanks for sharing!

Looked at this already. I think many of our more worried folks (the ones who see "black and hispanics ruining things for the good white people") would be surprised to see that whites seem to be pretty much an almost overwhelming majority of the population in the Orlando Metro

I'm honestly not a racist but why is it the area with the largest concentration of black are the high crime areas?

Sad but true
