Hello all. I am relocating to Orlando soon and want more information on the 2 major hospitals in that area- Orlando and Florida Health Systems.

What is the typical pay?
What is there reputation?
How do they alternate weekends?
What are the typical night shift ratios on the varying units?
And any other information that could be helpful when considering job opportunities.

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

Are there substantive differences between RN and BSN?

I'm assuming you're comparing a 2 yr degree to a BSN...

Not in pay. Maybe 1$ per hour or so... very little difference. But you might as well get your 4 yr because you're gonna have to take all the sciences and such anyway before you're able to statr your core classes.

That's an interesting observation.

My wife has an AA and her LPN. She wants to go BSN instead of the RN transition. I was wondering if it would be worth it.

It can be if it comes down to her and a BSRN. The BSRN will almost aways be the one hired, even if they have less experience.

Default RN relocating to orlando

Hi,
I am also an RN with background in home care and LTC. Any advise on jobs and salaries. Also, have a 14 yr old who will attend Lake Nona High. Any thoughts on area, crime, etc and purchasing a home (prices, rent to own or forclosures)?
