I'm in the middle of applying to Stetson school of law in Tampa and UF school of law in gainesville. My fiance works at universal studios in Orlando. Is there a place in the middle of Orlando and Tampa or in the middle of Orlando and gainesville that we could move to so I can attend law school and he can continue to work at universal with a reasonable commute.

Lakeland might work for both of you between Orlando and Tampa. Probably around a 40 minute commute for each of you though, worse with traffic. Gainesville and Orlando is further apart, so if each of you is ok with an hour or so commute, you could try Ocala or Leesburgh.... neither of them is perfectly halfway though

Between Tampa and Orlando is Lakeland, FL. I went to school there. It's a nice community. It would probably be about 45 minute drive for you and about an hour each way for your fiance. Winter Haven and Auburndale are also nice areas which are the cities just east of Lakeland so the commute may be a little bit shorter for your fiance from either of those cities.

UF to Universal would be a bit more difficult. I think Leesburg and Eustis are in the middle but it would be over an hour each way for you and about an hour drive for your fiance. These areas are more rural though from what I understand. There's also Ocala which would be closer to UF but over an hour from Universal.

The Lakeland area would be a reasonable commute for both of you but would really worry if you were accepted into UF. There wouldn't be a lot of suitable rental options at the halfway point (around Wildwood) and your choices would be either Leesburg (too far for you) or Ocala (too far for him). Just as an FYI though I'm sure you're probably aware, Barry University's School of Law is in Orlando which would help significantly.

I did not hear very good things about Barry or Famu's law program but if anyone knows something I don't know about Barry or FAMU i'm open to hearing

It's probably crazy talk but have you considered having your boyfriend transfer to Universal in LA and applying to law school at USC, UCLA, Loyola Marymount or Pepperdine?
