Once you move to Boston, you must notify the state of Florida immediately to terminate your Food Stamp and Medicaid benefits.
You will then have to reapply through the state of Massachusetts.
These benefits do not "transfer" as each state is in charge of their own programs.
No idea about the Social Security...

Good Luck! Boston is extremely expensive!

Correct.

Anyway. I don't understand why people are hijacking this thread with opinions that belongs in the Politics and Other Controversies forum. The OP didn't ask for your opinion on social benefits, the OP asked specific questions about transferring her benefits.

Also my daughter receives Social Security from the state of Florida...how would I transfer that to continue to receive her money?? any help would be greatly appreciated.

You will have to contact the department in Massachusetts to see how and when to apply and you will also have to notify the state of Florida that you are moving.
Your daughter will have to contact Social Security and ask what the procedure is to continue to receive her benefits.

I'm curious though how you can afford to move to Boston from Florida.

If you're referring to me as "one of them", yes I am.....a compassionate human being who has never come close to needing public assistance programs but am glad there is something in place for the legitimate overwhelming majority truly in need of it. You and the other trolls commenting here on the other hand would be appear to be on the other end of the spectrum. I'll refrain from the common descriptive...
