My sister used to have an apartment in the town center there. Don't go if you're single. I suppose it would be good if you had a family, didn't mind meeting the standards of a very aggresive HOA, and always dreamed of living in Pleasentville. It's pretty far from the airport, but if you catch the 417, you won't see much traffic, accept for rush hour. About 30 mins otherwise. Like I said, if you have a family and are looking for that "wholesome christian family scene", right up your alley.

Watch out for taxes also. Not only do you get to pay twice as much for a house, but you get to pay twice as much for taxes. The taxes there are as high as they can be in the Orlando area....and their school scores are not good.

It`s another Northern style neighborhood in Florida personally I think it`s a joke no palm trees looks like up north and they even sprinkle snow around downtown during Christmas.

Bunch of plastic people live there and snobs.

Just my experience you might like it who knows. I have worked around there for years so I have a good feel for it. Winter park is a more real upscale Florida neighborhood IMO.

Just take the 417 (Greenway) from Celebration to the Airport and it is a straight, easy drive that should only take you 15 minutes but cost you about 2 bucks.

Celebration is really cute from the outside but I do not know if I would like to live under such a microscope.. from both their association and the tourist that drive by ogling at your house.

Taxes are high because of the value of both your home and the land. However, you can still find pretty good insurance rates because the value of the land is not considered when assessing your replacement value.

Default celebration

It is a very attractive community built by Disney in the 80's. It has an attractive downtown with cute shops and is the pattern for other areas like Avalon Park. It is an expensive community with homes starting at 320 and going to 5.5m there are presently 184 homes on the market there. It is a story book community and generally very much liked and sought after. It's one of the many great places to live in the area.

I would take Celebration over Winter Park, Avalon,Baldwin Park Anyday!!! Celebration is a Great community to Live in (single or married). Why is it that People think that the Orlando area is so Great? Orlando came in #3 in Violent Crime in the Nation! Baldwin Park, Avalon & Winter Park get all the Overflow of the 'Thugs' coming there from Orlando. Celebration is a Safe place to live, and all the above 'areas' just are Celebration want-to-be's! Celebration is Beautiful!

Default I used to live there

Hi there, i used to live there and my parents still do live there. Im a realtor in the area and can tell you Celebration is beautiful, but you do pay a high price for that. Getting to MCO is quite quick and painless as the 417 toll rd goes past celebration and from downtown Celebration to MCO takes no more than 20 min and that rd isnt a busy one so commuting to the airport its a good location. Prices vary depending what your looking for but as a guideline condos of 800sq ft start at around $180,000 with houses going upto at least $4 million.

Typical house prices are around the $500,000 - $600,000 depending what you want.

If you want any info on the are feel free to contact me and id be more than happy to help.

Nick
