Anyone have any opinion on Meadow Woods?

Sorry for all the questions - we are struggling to find a house rental that suits our needs. We found one that looks like it would really work for us but when I did a search on Meadow Woods on this forum it came up with mostly negative responses. Most of those threads were old though. Since we will have to sign a one year lease I am afraid to make a big mistake and move into a bad area. From Google street view it looked like a decent area, and the house itself is within a gated community, but I am just not sure....

Thanks as always for your help!

I'm no expert on the area, but it seems to be a working class area with a large Hispanic population. You can always check out crime statistics on Spot-Crime for the neighborhood you're looking at.

Great idea to check spot-crime. I will do that.

Thank you!

We are really struggling to find a place to live in 3 weeks..... We didn't know it would be so hard!!

Have you looked at Hunter's Creek? It's nearby and a bit nicer than Meadow Woods/Southchase. Belle Isle, Williamsburg and Dr. Phillips are all nearby as well.

Yes we've looked in all those areas. It's hard to find a place that will take a large dog (50 lbs), and has a fully fenced yard. We'd like a pool too, but I'm thinking we will have to scratch that one off the list if we are going to find anything by May 1st. UGH. Very stressful!!!!
