I am mid 20's with a child. Single Father. I'm going to Orlando because the schools in central Fl are much better than palm beach County, and I plan on attending UCF.

Being said, my Questions are
1- What are good neighborhoods with decent schools and affordable for someone who makes about 45k a year? I'd prefer to rent a house, but Town-homes, or Apartment Complexes with rentable garages work. I'm looking for 800-900 rental range. Prefer younger area, as I am not even close to 30 yet. Side note: I know to Avoid Pine hills.

2. Does Seminole or Orange County have the better schooling? ( I prefer to live in Orlando, as I will be working there)

3. Are their any good morning or afternoon daycare programs that, per say, cater to a single parents schedule and "needs" ( I guess that's the best term)

4. Is the Craft beer bar, Hipster Bar scene any good? I only know of "I" Bar or Independent bar, from my trips to Orlando.

5. Ill lump it into one, is it a good area to keep kids occupied, productive, and happy?

That's pretty much it for now.

Thank You for any help!

I would start with Lake Mary. Schools are good. Prices are quite reasonable. It's a nice family area.

For your situation I would highly recommend looking into Oviedo. It's immediately north of UCF on the Seminole county side. The schools are very good and you get to UCF in no time and use the expessway to get to work in Orlando. Plenty of rentals in that area.

Another area you may want to consider is Casselberry. Close to UCF and Orlando as well, it's also in Seminole county which has strong schools in general. It is a more affordable area than Oviedo. Both Oviedo and Casselbery have alot of young families so finding an afternoon daycare should not be very hard.

Final area I would recommend is Winter Park towards the Semoran/University area. Good access to both UCF and Orlando, lots of rentals (although many are catered towards students) and decent schools (not as good as the Oviedo or Casselberry).

There is a growing Craft beer scene and I'm sure there are plenty of Hipster Bars based on what I assume Hipsters are. Best areas for this type of scene are the Milk District, Ivanhoe Village, Audubon Park and Mills/50. All types of microbreweries, dive bars, live music venues.
