Default School Districts in Davenport

We are looking seriously at relocating to the Orlando area this summer. We'll be coming from a suburb of Buffalo, NY.

I do have a son- he'll be going into the 9th grade. Ironically, he's very excited of the prospect of moving. He has family from his dad's side- that he's very close to, spread from Orlando to Tampa- w/ some specifically in Davenport. Including his grandparents.

We've spent a lot of time vacationing in the area- and we've stayed several times in Davenport. I really liked this area. However, how are the school's here?

Seems the home rental rates are a bit less. I'm assuming it's because it's a bit further out.

I also have family in Davenport. The schools are awful, like most schools in the area. You have to be careful with some of the private religious schools which can also be terrible. Generally you won't be able to match the public school education that you are likely getting in NY. I am not sure why many central FL schools can't get their act together.

Very true Osceola County and Orange county have really bad schools especially for children who need special education.
