Take out Metro West from this list and I would place nice areas of Winter Park above Windermere. Winter Springs would be a good choice too. Hunters Creek is decent.

I agree with this much more actually. Metrowest would be a lot nicer if it were safer. Winter Park is top of my list in my head because I like the urban/older vibe. I would put the nice nice part of Lake Nona and Heathrow on that list too.

Any particular apartments in these different cities that you recommend? I also would say that we both like a "newer" feel to a city/apartment than an "older" feel.

Thanks for all the replies so far!!!

Newer feel, then Windermere/Winter Garden will give you the best property with a newer building and feel. Some of the properties in Metrowest are very attractive and new, but the surrounding area has some crime issues, especially along Kirkman. Dr Phillips in general has older and newer sections, but there are not a lot of rental properties and apartments there. Are you in the area where you could take a drive along 535?

I agree...I lived there for almost two years and never had any problems and I lived in an apartment complex. http://bestsmileys.com/clueless/4.gif (broken link)
