Ya gotta drive! Leesburg has horrible pizza! My parents lived there a few years ago.

I was raised in NYC, NJ and even a year in Italy, so I have a good idea about good pizza...

There's a great Pizza place down 27 called Mannino Pizza at;

43362 Highway 27, Davenport, FL‎ - 863-424-4222

The best pizza in Kissimmee is Al's:

Al's Pizzeria. 3305 W Oak St Kissimmee, FL 34741.

The best pizza in East Orlando is Goodfella's off of Alafaya and 50:

11865 E Colonial Dr
Orlando, FL 32826
407-658-6615

You'll just have to order a couple of pies and wrap each slice in foil to store in your freezer, then take em out when u want them, 1 minute in the nuke and then 2-5 minutes in the toaster oven! Mmm mmm gooood!

A lot closer than any of those is Lil' Anthony's on Route 27 in Minneola. Depending on where you are in Leesburg it might be under a 20 minute drive.

It is the horrible water down there. At least the places I mentioned make their own sauce and don't scoop it out of a bucket from Roma food distribution systems.

Deevee,
I have a home in Leesburg......I've only tried Tony's pizza. I thought it was expensive and not all that great. i'm looking forward to trying some of the other places around town...there's gotta be a good pizza made somewhere close......

I won't be back there again until May......please find one for me by then.

Sorry you cant find as good of a "pie" in FL as you can in NY. I like Pizza hut, Little Caesers, and Domino's myself. I dont see what all the fuss is about when referring to "NY-style" pizza and all that stuff.

I'm not necessarily referring to "NY style" pizza, although I've had it. It's just that there does not seem to be all that many pizza choices down in Florida.

For example, I live in a town of about 15,000 people here in western NY. We have over 21 pizza places within a 10 mile radius.......not even counting Pizza Hut, Domino's, etc.......They ALL stay busy, and all have their loyal patrons.

Leesburg is like 4 times as big, but have way less Pizza places then that.

I don't want to change the subject, but Florida also seems to have less ice cream and coffee places also.

Now, I'm NOT complaining, and I DON'T want to change Florida into anything like NY.....I'm just stating a fact. I still consider Florida a major upgrade for us and cannot wait to make the big move.

Thank you. No place is perfect, and every move has trade offs. For every one thing I may miss from NY, there are awesome things that will be new to me that is the norm in Florida......

I know that the prevailing perception that Floridians have of many NY'ers is not favorable. Personally, I love the Florida lifestyle, and can't wait to melt into it.

I still do wish I had more pizza choices.....(smile)
