I spoke to one of the workers onsight. It's a 23 story residential tower with a 6 story parking garage with retail and pool on the 20th floor. But the most impressive thing he told me is that expected completion date is Aug/Sept of this year. Amazing how fast this project is rising and that there will be residents living there before the Holidays.

I was thinking about that while I was walking around downtown yesterday, how fast the building is going up. On the northern side of Orange Ave towards Colonial there are a lot of "gaps" between skyscrapers, and I thought to myself that this was one gap being filled in, I look forward to seeing more be filled in in the future

And in case anybody was wondering, I actually found that spot on Lake Ivanhoe by mistake. I was trying to get on I-4 west from Colonial to get home, and the on ramp was all backed up, so I headed up Garland to get on Ivanhoe and that was backed up too. So I went further up and saw an "Ivanhoe Blvd" sign thinking Ivanhoe looped around the lake, however I ran into a dead end and a hideous pink apartment building, and when I made my u-turn I noticed the view and just HAD to take some pictures. I hope to go back again around sunset, even though downtown is south of the lake, Im sure the buildings against the orange/pink/blue/purple evening sky look amazing

I was wondering if anybody could take some pics of the Lake Nona area. Like the medical city and areas that are building or to be built. I am hoping to move this summer and this is the area I have on my list! I have been to Hunters Creek area a lot and Dr Phillips all which is nice but too congested. I am liking the sounds of Lake Nona but want to know if it's actually growing like they said. Thanks!

Who knew Orlando had a shop that sold snow skiing equipment? (Orange Ave at Gaston Edwards Park)

North shore of Lake Ivanhoe after sunset.

There was a pretty nasty wreck on I-4 today too right between the John Young and Conroy exits, the car in the median was pulverized, not even recognizable, I hope that driver is still alive
