When you download and save them on your computer (I'll send you a DM later today to show you how to save them on your computer) you can then upload them to a photo hosting web site, like Photobucket.com or sometimes Internet Service Providers give you some web space so you can build your own website, or store files and images. When you upload them to the site, they can now be viewed by everyone, but you have to post a link to the smilie images, enclosed in "" (without the double quotes). Example: .

I'll include some examples in my DM.
Thank you Mike! This sounds super confusing to me

Some of the smilies on this thread are cute and some are, just, YUCK!

I enjoy the use of emoticons...it helps the reader to discern the intent / mood of the poster.

Precisely! Unfortunately, the right one for the occasion is never handy enough.

I agree! This website hardly has any emoticons to choose from! Some other websites I visit have tons to choose from...and somewhere in there is always the perfect one to convey your mood at the time of posting. I really wish CD had more to choose from! I truly think that perhaps it could clarify things a tad more since with the written word we can't see body language / facial expressions etc.

Although I will say...that today I made a post and used this () after the post and another poster asked me what I was smiling for! lolololololol!!!!! I said, cause I'm friendly!

So...I don't know...maybe emoticons aren't for everybody, but I like them!

I have a hard enough time conveying my thoughts verbally In type I'm really bad at it. So the emoticons help all though I'm not to swift with their use! ....See!
