We had a blast yesterday !! All 3 classes went really well

The kids really enjoyed hearing my friends stories and loved making the hats. The teachers joined right in.
As we were leaving we went past the Cafeteria and it was fun to look in and see our kids proudly wearing the hats they made

85% of the kids really enjoyed the Pickled Daikon Radish slices my friend made These are yummy!

For those that asked here are the instructions so you can make your own hat
Origami Samurai Hat Folding Instructions - How to Make Origami Samurai Hat

Thanks! I think I'll help the little ones make hats today!

Today's Question(s):

To borrow Andy from "WWHL" favorite line

lol What 3 things are you "obsessed" with this week ?

1. Getting our house (with renters in it) back on the market and SOLD ASAP.
2. Getting this conference planning well underway and finding people to help. (I've been asked to plan one for early next year. I stupidly said OK.)
3. Refinancing the van.... OK, so we did that yesterday, but it's still a part of this week

Bonus Question:

Ok so did any of you try and do a "push-up" yesterday after reading the question ? I thought about it, but no.

lol Yes thinking about trying to do one counts Oh, I get to say yes!

Extra Credit Question:

In honor of Department Store Day

Not counting Walmart & Target type stores

What was the last big Department Store you were in ? I can't remember which stores. I wandered around in the International Plaza.

Just for Fun:

Were you old enough when the movie "Smokey and the Bandit" came out to own a CB radio ? I was little, so probably not. My grandpa had one. He thought it was the coolest thing ever. I thought it was pretty cool, too.

Did you ?

If so do you remember your "handle" ?

2. Looking for a hotel near the airport at Chicago
3. Driving my Jeep

Bonus Question:

I may have thought about it for a second or two.

lol Yes thinking about trying to do one counts

Extra Credit Question:

In honor of Department Store Day

Not counting Walmart & Target type stores

What was the last big Department Store you were in ?
Sears. I was in JC Penney's afterwards. However, I no longer consider JCP a department store. For the most part all they sell are clothes. The service at both places SUCKS. They use to have people that would help you find what you needed. Now they only have check out clerks who won't do anything but take your money.

Just for Fun:

Were you old enough when the movie "Smokey and the Bandit" came out to own a CB radio ?
I was plenty old enough

Did you ?
I had one

If so do you remember your "handle" ?
I never had a regular "handle" I might make up something from time to time.

If I recall, CB radios had a very limited range. However, at night time we could get the signal to "skip" and often would be able to reach people a thousand miles away.

Today in History:
1857 - William F. Channing and Moses G. Farmer patented the electric fire alarm system in Boston, MA: the first city to adopt the system.
1848 - 1st department store opens
1885 - 1st mass production of shoes
1935 - NFL adopts an annual college draft to begin in 1936
1977 - "Smokey and the Bandit," premieres - which increased the popularity of CB radios
