Up the road from us is a lovely town called Salisbury. Until very recently our daughter went to school there.

It is home to the famous Cathedral- some say that makes Salisbury a city.

The Cathedral has the tallest spire in the country- 404 feet high. The main body of the church is 12th century and is located in the largest cathedral close in the country. I enclose some photos of it, taken a couple of days ago;

This shows the spire, added about a hundred years after the cathedral was built;

The west front, altered in the early 19th century;

The cloisters and inner courtyard;

The Close surrounding the cathedral;

My place- when I win the Lottery (priced at around $10 million!);

Looking out of the Close through one of the gateways, towards Salisbury High Street;

Here is a picture of a fairly new Taco Bell. It had a nice garden outside and a marble water fountain. Inside, the tables were made from granite and the floors are colorful and bright. We're talking Taco Bell here.

I could not cell my area in a million years... It's too hot too long, racially, politically and religiously divided, ignorance and non-progressive mentality is wide spread. Education and child welfare are very low priorities. Unemployment is high so is violence (in certain areas). Livable wages are lacking and the housing market is severely challenged. Oh and there is no water, but we have really great winters
It sounds like you live where I do!!
