Have a wonderful day folks. For those of us in Commonweath Countries (all former colonies of Great Britain--there are a few of here and some care, while others probably do not), today marks the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's reign. There will be celebrations throughout the Commonwealth all year. (That includes Canada, New Zealand, Australia) and many other places.

Good morning all!!!

Today’s Question(s):

How far do you have to drive/walk/bicycle to reach the nearest:

Grocery store? 2 miles
Gas station? 1.5 miles
Shopping center? 5 miles
Library? 5 miles
School? 2 blocks
Government building? Almost put 5 miles again but remembered a new DMV just a couple miles from the house.

Extra Credit Question:

What was the last home furnishings item you acquired? A recliner for DH

When did you acquire said item? April of last year

Do you still like it, or are you ready to replace it? The chair is a case of "their hearts were in the right place" My DH's recliner was on it's last legs. As most of you know he went thru chemo treatments last year so we decided once the chemo was done we'd get rid of the chair. His sibling wanted to do something so they purchased him the chair. It has all the bells and whistles..it heats, it vibrates, it massages, it will lift him out if need be..nice huh? Well, it needs a cord to do this so we've had to stretch a power cord to the outlet, the foot rest needs the remote to raise and lower it AND it's just plain ugly and not comfortable at all. So we'll be thankful for their thoughfulness and hang on to it as long as we can before it's not insulting to get rid of it.

Bonus Question:

What was the last compliment someone paid you? Job well done....Saturday

What was the last compliment that you paid someone else? Job well done....Saturday

Just for Fun:

What day of the week do you do laundry? No set day...I tend to do my chores during the week so I have the weekend to play.

Great job on the QOTD! Have a great day everyone!
