Anyway, as is the way with YouTube you can find so many different related clips and this led to my seeing something which wasn't very pleasant.
That got me thinking about why people seem to like to watch horrible or scary movies and so on. Some of the advertisments of upcoming programmes that get shown on the TV seem to me to be pretty tasteless.

So, my fellow peevers, the POTD is;
Tasteless or horrible things shown on TV.
Yeah ... I never understood the appeal of scary movies and gory stuff on TV ... I get no delight from seeing victims suffering. In fact, I believe that a lot of the senseless crime we've been seeing in the news these days (especially ones committed by minors) is somehow linked to the increasingly graphic content on TV and in movies.
Isn't that the truth - have no idea why anyone would watch garbage like that. Like "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" what trash - and then there's the show itself
Yeah there's a lot of trash on TV that I don't watch like all the vampire shows and that new show "Grimm"....it looks really creepy. I'll stick with the few sitcoms that I watch and dramas like "Person of Interest", that's a good one. TV just ain't what it used to be.
