Morning y’all,
. . . . . Didja Know?
(I certainly didn’t) that the FDA just acknowledged a 2009 petition from the International Dairy Foods
Association, along with the National Milk Producers Federation, asking for permission to include artificial
sweeteners in milk and other dairy products.

The groups are seeking to use ‘aspartame’ in milk and are asking the Agency to 'amend the standard of
identity for milk and 17 other dairy products'.

Bad! Very bad! I don't drink milk but I sure hope this doesn't get passed. The article mentions that purchase of soy and rice milk is on the rise. I switched to almond milk. It's delicious in cereal or as a drink.

Agree with Kitty here. Bad very bad. We switched also from dairy to soy milk. Even though ir costs more it tastes better and is better for you.

Oh for the love of God. Enough already!

And it's probably a sure thing. Throw enough money at Washington and you'll get whatever you want - with the exception of common sense.

I don't want aspartame or any other artificial sweetener in my milk. That's just ridiculous!

Why in the world would they even dream of putting an artificial sweetener in milk? Everybody knows chocolate is the best thing for milk.

I loved milk too for over 50 years that's all I drank then one day the allergist said that milk and dairy products were the root of my sinusitis problems. When he recommended to switch to soy the sinusitis disappeared.

I didn't know that, Joy. It's just stupid. Why can't they leave well enough alone? Twits.
