Today's Question:
What do you know now that you wish you knew when you were younger?
About Asperger's Syndrome,
and that it was the explanation for why I had such a hard time with so much as a kid.

Bonus Question:
What bugs do you see around where you live?
Ants, moths, fruitflies, bumblebees and and stinging things
Once or twice a year, an explosive profusion of ladybugs, which I don't mind

Foodie Question:
Right now I'm on a Mini Wheats kick, having a bowl almost every day.
-If you ever go on a food kick or jag - please, give us an example.
I'm currently obsessed with the maple walnut blondie brownie made by a bakery cafe downtown. Scrumptious !

Have you ever had a juicer or other beverage maker at home? If so, what kind and did/do you use it?
Never had one

If you could have a free fish dinner, what kind would you have?
Pass-I don't eat seafood

What do you drink while you drive or commute?
-Do you ever use one of those big travel mugs?
I neither drive nor commute, my beverages are only consumed in the home
I drink my tea in a giant ceramic mug, not a dainty tea cup.

Just for fun:
On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 as best, how do you rate your ability to detect real bull?
Would prefer not to quantify it, let's just say "rather poor"-
but if I've recognized a scam once, it's emblazoned on my mind forever after.

Today’s Phrase:
accidental Jedi - someone who routinely does things that would be awesome if intentional
for example: He scored the winning goal on a throw away kick. Totally accidental Jedi, dude!

"I meant to do it that way"

Thanks for the Qs, bjh.
Have a spiffy day, peoples

Oh, boy!! I feel sorry for ya!

Now you know.

Today's Question:
What do you know now that you wish you knew when you were younger?
Nah... learning new things is a part of growing up

Bonus Question:
What bugs do you see around where you live?
Way too many to list!! But here are few: ROACHES, springtails, earwigs, flies, mayflies, bugs, aphids, fleahoppers, ants, wasps, bees, termites, butterflies, caterpillars, mantids, scorpionfly, lacewings, dragonflies, damselflies, grasshoppers, walkingstick, stoneflies, mites, ticks, mosquito, centipedes, millipedes, sowbugs, pillbugs, harvestmen, pseudoscorpions, scorpions, windscorpions, vinegaroons, fleas, silverfish, caddisfly and few thousand more

Foodie Question:
Right now I'm on a Mini Wheats kick, having a bowl almost every day.
- If you ever go on a food kick or jag - please, give us an example.
I had a rice pudding days, sushi days, zucchini days, soup days, papaya days ...

Have you ever had a juicer or other beverage maker at home? If so, what kind and did/do you use it?
yeah... I have the Breville juicer and make a juice quite often. Usually orange/apple/carrot, or just blend some fruit together - it looks more like as a smoothie than juice.

If you could have a free fish dinner, what kind would you have?
Shark steak, sword fish, salmon, Mahi-Mahi, flounder, red snapper, halibut, seabass... are my favorite.

What do you drink while you drive or commute?
-Do you ever use one of those big travel mugs?
Nothing. No food or drink in my car.
When I drive somewhere long distance, I just drink water, but I usually stop and take a break.

Just for fun:
On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 as best, how do you rate your ability to detect real bull?
Not sure I understand ... how "unreal" bull looks like??

Today's Question:
What do you know now that you wish you knew when you were younger?
I don't like to play that game. A woman once told me that it took everything I went through in life to make me who I am. So I am very happy with all my young and dumb years and my naivete', my peer pressure induced bad choices, etc.

But just to play along, I will say understanding people's hatred and/bigotry towards me often comes from their own ignorance, insecurities, or just plain old lame ass beliefs, and it is a reflection on them, not me.

Bonus Question:
What bugs do you see around where you live?
There are tons of bugs in rural Oklahoma. Everything from scorpions to beetles to colorful spiders on my porch. I love them all. I took a course in entomology, and it was very interesting to me. Plus my professor looked like a bug.

Foodie Question:
Right now I'm on a Mini Wheats kick, having a bowl almost every day.
-If you ever go on a food kick or jag - please, give us an example. I get into food kicks. Some examples are almonds, bananas, and deep fried burritos. Right now I am on a biscuits and gravy kick.

Have you ever had a juicer or other beverage maker at home? If so, what kind and did/do you use it? Yes, I won $50 gift certificate here on CD. I bought a juicer. It is pretty cool.

If you could have a free fish dinner, what kind would you have? A double Mc Fish filet with two orders of large fries and a diet coke. Or maybe an all you can eat shrimpfest with all different sizes and kinds of shrimp.

What do you drink while you drive or commute? Diet Dr. Pepper with light ice on the way to work (45 minute drive one way) and nothing on the way home.
-Do you ever use one of those big travel mugs?

Just for fun:
On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 as best, how do you rate your ability to detect real bull?
Most cows and bulls look very different, so I give myself a 10.

World Maritime Day

I had a period where I would regularly crave Pistachio pudding ... It's been a while so I need to get some milk ... I still have a few packages lying around

None but should invest in one

Today's Question:
What do you know now that you wish you knew when you were younger?

Maybe that relatively good health shouldn't be taken for granted.

Bonus Question:
What bugs do you see around where you live?

Honestly, I think they are hiding this year. I usually photograph butterflies and other big bugs in the summer and I just didn't see them in great numbers this year although I can hear the cicadas. Only saw 3 kinds of common butterflies this year and not a lot of them. Did see a lot of bumble bees, though. Usually see a lot of damsel flies.

Foodie Question:
Right now I'm on a Mini Wheats kick, having a bowl almost every day.
-If you ever go on a food kick or jag - please, give us an example.

I don't keep coca cola in the house because I can go on coca cola binges and besides possibly making me fat, rotting my teeth and keeping me awake all night, coca cola gives me leg cramps. I once went on a spinach jag. I think my body was trying to tell me something.

Have you ever had a juicer or other beverage maker at home? If so, what kind and did/do you use it?

No

If you could have a free fish dinner, what kind would you have?

I don't eat anything that comes out of the water. I'd tell who was offering it to keep it or to give it to the next person.

What do you drink while you drive or commute?

Cold bottled water or a fruit smoothie. Nothing hot. But here's a tip: Don't drink fruit beverages (like red Hawaiian Punch) in the car. If it spills in the car it's almost impossible to get out, even by professional car cleaners. It stains your rugs like liquid jello can stain counter tops.

-Do you ever use one of those big travel mugs?

No, but a friend bought me something nifty for my birthday this year. It looks like a detachable camera lens but it's really a travel cup for the car. Just didn't travel this year.

Just for fun:
On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 as best, how do you rate your ability to detect real bull?

I follow politics. I give me a 9.

Bonus Question:
What bugs do you see around where you live? Bees, mosquitoes, ants,an occasional dragonfly, lady bugs, spiders and sometimes centipedes...........yuck!!

Foodie Question:
Right now I'm on a Mini Wheats kick, having a bowl almost every day.
-If you ever go on a food kick or jag - please, give us an example. The past couple of weeks I have been on a cashew and stuffed grape leaves kick.

Have you ever had a juicer or other beverage maker at home? Yes. If so, what kind and did/do you use it? I can't think of the name of it right now and don't want to go check because I don't want to make noise and wake up my daughter. Now I know what kind she has..it is a Vita-Mix,which we used just a couple of days ago.

If you could have a free fish dinner, what kind would you have? Either some baked flounder or coconut shrimp with corn on the cob and some cole slaw.

What do you drink while you drive or commute? I don't drink anything when driving.
-Do you ever use one of those big travel mugs? No.

Just for fun:
On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 as best, how do you rate your ability to detect real bull? About an 8.

Today's Question:
What do you know now that you wish you knew when you were younger?
The only thing that comes to mind is how I now do gift buying. For 30 years I had the deer in the headlights look everytime I shopped for Christmas presents. I would spend days looking for one present. Now I can buy 20 presents in 2 hours.

onus Question:
What bugs do you see around where you live?
Do not see much in the way of bugs. Maybe a fly or two.

Foodie Question:
Right now I'm on a Mini Wheats kick, having a bowl almost every day.
-If you ever go on a food kick or jag - please, give us an example.

Any food kick I go on usually involves food that is bad for me.

Have you ever had a juicer or other beverage maker at home? If so, what kind and did/do you use it?
Never had a juicer. I just bought a sodastream. So far all of the soda flavors they have that I have tried are quite awful tasting. However I have found a couple flavors that are not designed for it that taste real good.

If you could have a free fish dinner, what kind would you have?
I am in the mood for some just caught and cooked over a campfire trout.

What do you drink while you drive or commute?

I used to dring Diet Pepsi. However as of late they have messed with the formula and it tastes awful. So I do not drink anything while driving

-Do you ever use one of those big travel mugs?
I have never used a big travel mug. Well that is not completly true. Way back in college I had a really boring econ class in the afternoon in a building that was not air conditioned. Just before going in the classroom several of us would each open a couple beers and pour them into a travel type mug. We would then sip beer during the class.

Just for fun:
On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 as best, how do you rate your ability to detect real bull?
I would say an 8 or a 9. Once in a while someone is able to slip something past me.
