Welcome to our daily habit.
Indeed!

Today's Questions:
What habits would you like to break?
Anxiety/panic, fear/worry, insecurity, that kinda' stuff

Any habits you'd like to develop?
Confidence, competence, daring, less self-deprecation/self-abnegation

Bonus Questions:
Have you ever successfully turned over a new leaf - breaking or starting a habit?
Rarely on purpose, mostly by happenstance.

Using a computer was not something I used to do a decade ago, so that's relatively new behavior.
I bit my fingernails until I was 30 years old-only stopped a decade ago.
I had to intentionally train myself to take my vitamins each day.

Foodie Questions:
Have you or yours ever made your own cake frosting or icing?
Yes, icing made with confectioner's sugar

What cake frosting flavors do you like?
Chocolate, cream cheese

What's the most unusual restaurant you've heard of or visited?
None, but I went to McDonalds' in New Zealand-that was different (for me).

If you've ever eaten any wild grown foods, what kinds?
Blueberries, picked on Mount Battie in Camden, Maine-when I was a kid.

You get to have a meal at a traditional diner. What'll you have?
French fries and a slice of cheesecake with strawberries.

Just for fun:
When and where have you slept on a sofa?
Couple months ago, in my apt.

Do you have a sofa bed?
Not a sofa bed, but the couch is long enough for a 6-foot-tall person to stretch out and not fall off.

This Week is:
Pursuit of Happiness Week, 7-13

Thanks for the Qs, bjh
Have a spiffy day tomorrow, peoples !

Today's Questions:
What habits would you like to break? Going for seconds at buffets. Biting the inside of my cheek, which I do sometimes when I'm driving (I have no idea why!).

Any habits you'd like to develop? I'd like to learn to say no to people when I'm overwhelmed with too many commitments.

Bonus Questions:
Have you ever successfully turned over a new leaf - breaking or starting a habit? Yes. Several years ago I started walking for fitness and working out as often as my schedule allows. I've done a real good job of sticking to it and miss it a lot on the occasional day when I can't get a good walk in.

Foodie Questions:
Have you or yours ever made your own cake frosting or icing? Yes. I almost always make frosting from scratch.
What cake frosting flavors do you like? Vanilla and chocolate.

What's the most unusual restaurant you've heard of or visited? I can't think of any really unusual ones at the moment.

If you've ever eaten any wild grown foods, what kinds? Wild morel mushrooms, strawberries, black raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, asparagus, dandelion greens. That's all I can think of at the moment, but there are probably a few more.

You get to have a meal at a traditional diner. What'll you have? A savory breakfast of two eggs over medium, American fries, link sausages, rye toast, OJ. Around here, diners make the best breakfasts.

Just for fun:
When and where have you slept on a sofa? At home. When I have out of town company, I let my guest(s) have my bedroom and I sleep on a couch. I have a sofa sleeper, but found that sleeping on it as a couch is quite comfortable. I'm short, so I fit perfectly between the arm rests on each end.

Do you have a sofa bed? Yep.

Today’s Word:
in·trep·id [in-trep-id] adjective
resolutely fearless; dauntless: example: an intrepid explorer
noun: the name of a Dodge vehicle

Today Is:
Bittersweet Chocolate w/Almonds Day I love bittersweet chocolate! I prefer it plain, though.
National Gin Day (hiccup) I went to the Jenever Gin Festival in Hasselt, Belgium on October 19th.
Men Make Dinner Day I thought that was yesterday. No man in my home to cook, so I'll make my own din-din. Not a problem.
--recipes included --->National Men Make Dinner Day™

Have a super day, everybody!

Today's Questions:
What habits would you like to break?

I would pick a couple to break but then my other habits would feel left out. Next thing you know I have a full blown uprising by my habits. I can do without that so I will keep all of my habits.

Any habits you'd like to develop?
None. Once the new good habits see how much fun the bad habits are having they cross over to the dark side and become bad habits. I already have enough bad habits. Don't need any more

Bonus Questions:
Have you ever successfully turned over a new leaf - breaking or starting a habit?
I have turned over a leaf or two. Not sure if they were new leaves or old leaves.

Foodie Questions:
Have you or yours ever made your own cake frosting or icing?

Seeing how I do not bake it is not likely I have ever made frosting from scratch.

What cake frosting flavors do you like?
Chocolate

What's the most unusual restaurant you've heard of or visited?
Don't remember the name but in Kenya there is an all you can eat restaurant that serves all sorts of wild game.

If you've ever eaten any wild grown foods, what kinds?
Just berries

You get to have a meal at a traditional diner. What'll you have?
Has been a long time since I had liver and onions. Will have that with mashed potatoes, green beens, tossed green salad and a dinner roll. For desert I will have a slice of strawbwrry pie with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream

Just for fun:
When and where have you slept on a sofa?
When I still lived in Alaska I slept on my sofa from time to time. My bed was really getting worn out and in serious need of replacing

Do you have a sofa bed?
I do not even have just a sofa. All I have is my recliner. Once in a while I will fall asleep in it and not wake up til morning

Today's Questions:
What habits would you like to break?
There are none I would like to break, but a few I ought to break. Like eating less chocolate

Any habits you'd like to develop?
Again, none I'd like to develop, but a few I ought to. Like getting more exercise.

Bonus Questions:
Have you ever successfully turned over a new leaf - breaking or starting a habit?
Not that I can think of right now.

Foodie Questions:
Have you or yours ever made your own cake frosting or icing?
What cake frosting flavors do you like?
I hardly ever eat cake these days and can't remember the last time I made one. But yes, I've made my own frosting and icing. Favourite flavour would be coffee.

What's the most unusual restaurant you've heard of or visited?
There have been a few! The most unusual one was in Moscow, way back in 1973. It looked like a coffee shop, smelled (vaguely) like a coffee shop so in I went, at about 12.30 one lunchtime. Since this was back in the communist days, service was abominably slow. I was the only customer and waited very patiently for someone to take my coffee order. Waiting, waiting, waiting (didn't make a fuss since I couldn't speak a word of Russian and wanted to see how the scene played out). Eventually, at 2.35pm, the waiter arrived with his pen and pad - and told me I couldn't get a coffee because the place became a vodka bar after 2.30pm each day and coffee was no longer available.

If you've ever eaten any wild grown foods, what kinds?
We used to pick blackberries and hazelnuts from bushes in the woods around my house when I was growing up in England.

You get to have a meal at a traditional diner. What'll you have?
I'll have breakfast (but not at breakfast time). Maybe a short stack, and some hash browns.Or if it's in the south I'll have biscuits and gravy.

Just for fun:
When and where have you slept on a sofa?
All over the place - I travel a lot and have often found myself on a friend's sofa.

Do you have a sofa bed?
Yup - very handy when you have more overnight guests than beds.

Thanks bjh.

Have a great Thursday.

What's the most unusual restaurant you've heard of or visited? Hooters. And yes they were real and they were spectacular. (Seinfeld 1993)

If you've ever eaten any wild grown foods, what kinds? All my foods eaten have been tamed.

You get to have a meal at a traditional diner. What'll you have? Liver & onions or steak and eggs or Ruben samwich, or a big fat ol' juicy hambuger and fries.
