Just read an article about the mobile device game called "Flappy Bird", which was recently pulled from the mobile device app market by the developer:

Flappy Bird phones on offer for $50,000

Quote:
Phones and tablets sporting the blockbuster game Flappy Bird are for sale online for tens of thousands of dollars above their normal asking price. The game was removed from Apple and Google app stores this week, meaning it can no longer be downloaded. However, it can still be played on devices on which it is already installed, creating a burgeoning online market.

The game involves a small bird being flown between gaps in green pipes via strategic thumb-taps, with devices which normally sell for well-below $1000 appearing every few minutes on online auction sites for double and triple that.

One gold-coloured iPhone 5s with Flappy Bird installed is listed on Gumtree.com with an asking price of $50,000. It costs $869 new.
So I checked eBay, and sure enough, I saw a phone sold for $50,000 on eBay just because it has the game Flappy Bird installed !!!

Have a look here:

Plus a lot of others with Flappy Bird either sold or are for sale for similar for outrageous prices:

flappy bird | eBay

This world is going completely insane !!!

Arrow Flappy Bird Madness?

Is anyone else watching this on eBay?

Dozens of iPhones are selling on eBay for $5000 and up, just because they have the recently discontinued game Flappy Bird installed on them????

Three phones sold for $50,0000

Another sold for $27,500

Close to hundred more sold for around $1000.

Either click on my previous eBay links, or do a search for "Flappy Bird" on eBay, and then sort completed sales decending by price.

This is absolutely crazy !!!!

It reminds me of the Cabbage Patch Kids / Tickle Me Elmo / etc. toy madness multiplied x 100.

People are out of their minds, more so when they get on Ebay. George Zimmerman selling a painting for 100k, that shows how far down we have come. There seem to be some with more money with brains.

I know ... this is pure insanity !!!

Think of all the things $1,000 - $50,000 can buy ... and these lunatics are spending it on a silly game for a mobile phone?

I just checked the For Sale section of San Diego Craigslist for "Flappy Bird".

There are currently 704 listings with mobile devices selling as high as $100,000!

san diego all for sale / wanted classifieds "flappy bird" - craigslist

So it's not just eBay.

This is totally unbelievable !!!

If it's an Android, all you need to do is Yahoo! search for the .apk file and download it for "side-loading"--you're done, and for free.
