I started to think about this how in world did we get an idea to cut down a tree and put it inside a house?

The guy had to be a drunk.. can you imagine expression on his wife face?
Why you cut a tree and put it inside the house? .. she said.
Dunno thought it would look pretty .. he said Heck lets just throw on these yard sale ornaments and make it look pretty..

Later on he goes .. Hey where is my socks..

She says ooo I hung them above the fire place with candy and chocolate in them.. LIke that a good place lol.

I heard the story on the tree thing a few years ago. Can't recall the origin at this moment.

Smile hmmmm!

SunnyKayak: have you been drinking?

I'm sure there are many theories behind the bringing the tree indoors. One I've heard is that it was the only tree to survive Winter, so people brought them indoors in hopes for the coming Spring. Kind of ironic...the trees thinking they can survive winter & someone goes & chops 'em down.

Now the stockings hung up by the chimney with care?

Thanks for sharing your story!

First Christmas Tree Riga Latvia in year 1510 - Patricia LTD

I got the above by going to Ask.com Search Engine - Better Web Search and asking "When was the first Christmas tree."
