My first car was a 1967 bucket of rust. The only parts of the car that were not rusty were the ones that had already rusted out and fallen off. This car made a real statement..."The driver probably does not have insurance" What this car had going for it was the engine. In the late 70's many high school kids driving their 4 cyl muscle car wantabes got educated by my bucket of rust.

I was really lucky. Talk about a sleeper. I ruined a lot of other people's days back in the early 70's. I can't begin to describe the fun. It wasn't the flashiest Camaro out there but it was a dream to drive and the engine was awesome.

My First Car.. "The Bomb"
A 1963 Dodge 330 slant six 2 door with 3 speed on the column.. white with fire engine red interior. No seat belts not required.. AM radio only - Heater - split 60/40 bench seat.. and very wide rear seat Purchased at a estate auction in 64 had less than 5,000 original miles. On the passengers side front on the dash it had a license plate size aluminum plaque.. Stating the owners name and his medical problem could not speak - had all the names of people to call in case of emergency. No way to remove had a frame and some sort of adhesive.. I bent the metal dash trying to remove it.. it eventually became a chick magnet... I had Woody Racing Decal covering it... held up by magnets.. I put close to 500,000 miles on her before trading in for a Gremlin X with a 304 V-8 Interceptor same engine used in Javelin

1964 VW bug. Bright red with big tires on back and a "racing engine". It was not fast, just had a nice sound. I drove it from L.A. to OK as a 17 year old. Man, was I in tall cotton!

I will say that my 67 bucket of rust did sound great. Both mufflers being rusted out probably something to do with it.
