Glad to be alive! I have done two things that I have wanted to do for a very long time: travel to Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia and take a pastry class at Zingerman's in Ann Arbor. I did get the roof done, but that was going to be a necessity very soon and not what I planned to do. Hopefully next year I will get to see the Northern Lights.
I was able to attend an out of state wedding early this year and meet with a number of my relatives who I don’t see too often. Then later in midsummer we went for a vacation or getaway to Long Beach and stayed several days at the Queen Mary which was very enjoyable. And later in the year we took a ten day trip to Washington DC and the area where we spent time visiting memorials, museums, and other sights of interest. The food was outstanding while there as well. And most important Mrs Aks & I are both healthy and well. Oh and I forgot we completely redid the landscaping removing trees, adding new ones, and getting all new rock applied after getting the old stuff off and hauled away.
This was not a good year for me. So I will say the best thing that happened to me was that I am still alive and in good health.
