I LOVE pancakes for supper! Or breakfast. HA! But don't you hate it when you make them flat, or burn them or just generally make a mess of them? I do think it is funny to buy them frozen, but they are pancakes you can't mess up!
This article from Huffington Post has tips to help you avoid the trials and tribulation of the bad pancake!
I had never thought of their tip to apply the oil with a wadded paper towel- to keep from having a pool of oil. (not so good!)
What is your favorite way to eat pancakes and/or favor? I love chocolate chip pancakes- provided they aren't too dry (which I have gotten often when I eat out).
Some days a short stack just hits the spot! I don't eat them often. We get a buckwheat mix that's manufactured in the next county; a tad pricey but very reliable. I use cooking spray instead of oil, and start off on medium-high heat, turning it to low after flipping the cake once. One time is the key.
Okay, guess what I'm making tomorrow morning! Hey, it's gonna be somewhere around 7 or 8 degrees. Hot cakes and hot coffee comin' up!
No pancakes for me, now waffles are another story.
Waffles are very good! Have you had them from a hotel buffet, where you make your own? Yummy. All the deliciousness without the work (of making and cleaning up!).

Now that I know what I'm doing wrong, IHOP might lose some of my business................
