Don't know why but seems we may have done batteries but matters not as we've probably done everything at least once by now. Batteries are worth doing again anyway. Thanks Wit-Nit.
Batteries are becoming astronomically expensive. My biggest peeve with batteries and or device manufacturers is when they have space for AA batteries but require AAA batteries. These two particular batteries are generally about the same price. AA's probably out last AAA's more than double time.
If you have a Harbor Freight tool store in your area they have coupons for free HD batteries in the papers frequently. They are for AA or AAA and are packages of 24. They are actually good batteries, especially being free.
Here's a web copy of their freebies. https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...photos&spell=1
Same goes for C cells versus D cells. If there's enough room in a device to mount D cells don't use C cells.
Remember for rechargeable batteries don't buy Ni-cads they are ancient technology. Now we have much more reliable batteries such as NIMH.....
My car will be 5 years old in a few weeks, and I'm surprised that the battery is still fully charged. It sits out in the elements 24/7 and has weathered sub-zero temperatures for 5 winters, yet it still starts every time, no matter how cold it is outside. (Knock on wood!)
