Howdy and welcome to the Questions Of The Day for Sunday August 07, 2016. IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS AUGUST 7, then you are spiritually aware, imaginative and friendly, you are a very reliable individual, more so than others. You share birthdays with actor David Duchovny 56, actor Wayne Knight 61, Actress Charlize Theron 41, and singer BJ Thomas 74.

Hope the weather has been nice in your area. We had 4 inches of rain in 1-1/2 hours 3 days ago. Wow! How about you, any rain?

Let's begin....
What's the longest bridge you've ever driven on/over.
Have you crossed any major rivers, such as the Mississippi?
Have you ever crossed the Continental Divide?
Have you crossed your legs recently?
Do you like frog legs?

(The following 2 questions were submitted by Mikey who was recently let out of the doghouse)
Which movie character would you say is very much like you?
How about a family member or a friend that reminds you so much of a movie character
?

Would you eat 100 worms for $100.00?
If not what unusual thing would you eat for $100.00?

Do your clocks/watches run fast, slow, or are accurate?
Do you set your clocks/watches a few minutes faster than normal so you won't be late?

How often do you run a scan on your computer for viruses?

Have you ever experienced a 'foot in mouth' situation?
Wanna tell us about it, curious minds want to know:

At a party are you considered:
The life of the party?
Party pooper?
Wallflower?
Bartender?
Disc jockey?
Other?

Chicken pot pie, yes or no.
Beef pot pie, yes or no.
Cheese dip with guacamole, yes or no.
Celery dipped in cheese, yes or no.
Well then what would you like?

Pun time, Mikey and girlfriend.

Mikey and his girlfriend are on their first date. After dinner and a movie, they decide to jump into his Camaro and drive up to the local make out spot, on Camelback Mountain, where things start to get hot and heavy.
After awhile his girlfriend leans over and whispers in his ear "do you want to go into the back seat?"
"Oh not now", answers Mikey.
His girlfriend, confused, shakes her head and they continue making out.
A few minutes later his girlfriend asks again, "do you want to go into the back seat now?"
"No" exclaims Mikey.
A little frustrated she decides to ignore his comment and they go at it again.
A few more minutes pass and she figures she can ask again, "alright now sweetie don't you want to go in the back seat?"
"No!" Yells Mikey.
"And why not she frustratingly asks?"
Mikey loudly answers "because I want to stay up here in front with you"...

Famous quote of note:
"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." - Bertrand Russell (1872-1970)

1427 – The Visconti of Milan's fleet is destroyed by the Venetians on the Po River.

1976 – Viking program: Viking 2 enters orbit around Mars.
1987 – Lynne Cox becomes first person to swim from the United States to the Soviet Union.
2016 - Mikey released from doghouse for the 600th time.

"Well that's all folks", all puns, questions, quotes etc were approved by and authenticated by the law firm of 'Am-Bue-Lance and Chaser' attorneys after law breakers.

Have a great day and new week, thanks for playing along.

No rain here, but the fog was so drizzly the other night that we had to put our windshield wipers on.
Let's begin....
What's the longest bridge you've ever driven on/over.
I'm not sure. Maybe the San Mateo Bridge?
Have you crossed any major rivers, such as the Mississippi?
Nothing more major than the Delaware, Truckee, San Joaquin, Sacramento and Willamette Rivers.
Have you ever crossed the Continental Divide?
Only at 35,000 feet.
Have you crossed your legs recently?
They're crossed right now. Why do you ask?
Do you like frog legs?
I tried them once. They're OK, nothing special.

(The following 2 questions were submitted by Mikey who was recently let out of the doghouse)
Which movie character would you say is very much like you?
I'd be the one who plays the funny best friend or loyal sidekick, never the lead.
How about a family member or a friend that reminds you so much of a movie character
?
My stepsister reminds me of Jenny, the character in Forrest Gump played by Robin Wright.
Would you eat 100 worms for $100.00?
No, thanks.
If not what unusual thing would you eat for $100.00?
You can keep the money.
Do your clocks/watches run fast, slow, or are accurate?
Most of them are pretty accurate. The one in the bathroom is battery-operated and tends to run slow.
Do you set your clocks/watches a few minutes faster than normal so you won't be late?
Only the clock in the video recorder so that if I am recording a movie or TV program, I won't miss the beginning.
How often do you run a scan on your computer for viruses?
Never because I use a Mac, but Mr. Bay has a PC and does this regularly.
Have you ever experienced a 'foot in mouth' situation?
Oh, good lord, more times that I'd care to recall.
Wanna tell us about it, curious minds want to know:
I had just seen a movie with my friend Margaret and her friend Maryellen. We were riding the streetcar on our way home when (and I don't know what led up to this), I jokingly remarked that I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. That's how I found out that Maryellen is a teetotaler. Oops!

At a party are you considered:
The life of the party?
Party pooper?
Wallflower? <--- Well, not exactly, but this one fits best. I am the quiet, introverted type.
Bartender?
Disc jockey?
Other?

Chicken pot pie, yes or no.
Beef pot pie, yes or no.
Cheese dip with guacamole, yes or no. <---- One or the other but not both.
Celery dipped in cheese, yes or no. Maybe. It depends on the cheese.
Well then what would you like? A warm chocolate chip cookie.

Pun time, Mikey and girlfriend.

Mikey and his girlfriend are on their first date. After dinner and a movie, they decide to jump into his Camaro and drive up to the local make out spot, on Camelback Mountain, where things start to get hot and heavy.

I thought the joke was going to be "I already went at the theater."

Thanks, wit-nit!

Plenty of rain as per usual in this neck of the woods (Central England); but yesterday was dry and sunny; and we might get a repeat today if we're lucky. Other than that summer has been yet another damp squib

Let's begin....
What's the longest bridge you've ever driven on/over. Probably the Seto Bridge in Japan
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Seto_Bridge

Have you crossed any major rivers, such as the Mississippi? A few, including the Rhine, Danube, Severn and Limpopo
Have you ever crossed the Continental Divide? Probably
Have you crossed your legs recently? Ladies always cross their legs, but I ain't no lady this morning, ha!
Do you like frog legs? I don't like frogs, so go figure! lol

(The following 2 questions were submitted by Mikey who was recently let out of the doghouse)
Which movie character would you say is very much like you? (Are we talking characters or actors?) If the former then probably Bridget Jones, ha!. For actresses I would say Jodie Foster
How about a family member or a friend that reminds you so much of a movie character
?
My dad likes to think of himself as a young Clint Eastwood or Tom Cruise, but I think he's more like Fred Flintstone, lol

Would you eat 100 worms for $100.00? Yes, why not! Once you've gotten over the 1st worm the other 99 shouldn't be a problem- assuming these worms are dead! I also assume we're talking about your common little earthworm, and not some huge thing like a Giant Gippsland!!!

If not what unusual thing would you eat for $100.00? Anything remotely edible from a fast food outlet who's name begins an "M" and ends in "S", but I ain't loving it, ha!!

Do your clocks/watches run fast, slow, or are accurate most of the time: although typically if I'm at work time slows right down; when I'm having fun...yeah, you guessed it!
Do you set your clocks/watches a few minutes faster than normal so you won't be late? 10 minutes at most; but am rarely late anyway.
How often do you run a scan on your computer for viruses? quick scan every day; deep scan every other day.
Have you ever experienced a 'foot in mouth' situation? Too many to mention (and I have a big mouth, lol)
Wanna tell us about it, curious minds want to know: next time I'm slightly drunk I might just reveal a few tit-bits, ha!
At a party are you considered:
The life of the party? depends on the party, but I would go with this.
Party pooper?
Wallflower?
Bartender?
Disc jockey?
Other?

Chicken pot pie, yes or no.
Beef pot pie, yes or no.
Cheese dip with guacamole, yes or no.
Celery dipped in cheese, yes or No!!!! Hate celery with a passion!!!.
Well then what would you like? Anything chocolatey and doesn't include frickin' celery!!

Thanks for today's questions!

Thanks to wit-nit for alerting me that my favorite slot is open.

Let's begin....
What's the longest bridge you've ever driven on/over. Golden Gate Bridge in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Have you crossed any major rivers, such as the Mississippi? Colorado River (from California to Arizona) and Missouri River (from Nebraska to Iowa).
Have you ever crossed the Continental Divide? By air. Never drove through it.
Have you crossed your legs recently? No.
Do you like frog legs? Never had them but hear they taste like chicken.

(The following 2 questions were submitted by Mikey who was recently let out of the doghouse)
Which movie character would you say is very much like you? Mr. Peabody.
How about a family member or a friend that reminds you so much of a movie character? My friend in Texas was nicknamed "Bam-Bam" when he was in the Navy, and he does kind of resemble him.

Would you eat 100 worms for $100.00? No way.
If not what unusual thing would you eat for $100.00?

Do your clocks/watches run fast, slow, or are accurate? The wall clocks and digital radio clocks are accurate but my watch I wear every day tends to get behind after a while and I need to keep synchronizing it at least once a month.
Do you set your clocks/watches a few minutes faster than normal so you won't be late? No, that doesn't work for me because I'll always know the clocks are set a few minutes fast.

How often do you run a scan on your computer for viruses? My anti-virus runs a scan once a week and it updates itself at the same time.

Have you ever experienced a 'foot in mouth' situation? I'm sure it's happened.
Wanna tell us about it, curious minds want to know: Sorry, I don't remember.

At a party are you considered:
The life of the party?
Party pooper? <--If I don't go.
Wallflower? <--If I end up going anyway.
Bartender?
Disc jockey?
Other?

Chicken pot pie, yes or no. Yes.
Beef pot pie, yes or no. Yes.
Cheese dip with guacamole, yes or no. No.
Celery dipped in cheese, yes or no. No.
Well then what would you like? McDonald's hot apple pie with vanilla soft serve on top.

Have a fun and relaxing Sunday!

Hope the weather has been nice in your area. We had 4 inches of rain in 1-1/2 hours 3 days ago. Wow! How about you, any rain? - Not like that.

Let's begin....
What's the longest bridge you've ever driven on/over.
- Golden Gate Bridge.

Have you crossed any major rivers, such as the Mississippi?
Have you ever crossed the Continental Divide?
Have you crossed your legs recently?
Do you like frog legs?
-

I may have had the latter a long time ago. Tastes like chicken? I really don't remember...

Sure, crossed my legs. Yesterday I recall.

Major rivers? Maybe, not sure.

No on the Continental Divide.

(The following 2 questions were submitted by Mikey who was recently let out of the doghouse)
Which movie character would you say is very much like you?
How about a family member or a friend that reminds you so much of a movie character?
- N/A

Would you eat 100 worms for $100.00? - No.
If not what unusual thing would you eat for $100.00? - I likely wouldn't.

Do your clocks/watches run fast, slow, or are accurate? - Accurate, within a few seconds.

Do you set your clocks/watches a few minutes faster than normal so you won't be late? - Never did that.

How often do you run a scan on your computer for viruses? - I did this last night. All good. My virus protection is up to date.

Have you ever experienced a 'foot in mouth' situation?
Wanna tell us about it, curious minds want to know:
- No. I'm very shy...

At a party are you considered:
The life of the party?
Party pooper?
Wallflower?
Bartender?
Disc jockey?
Other?

It's been a very long time since I went to one.

I bailed at the holiday party the company I work for had in December. I work for a very large company and I was a little stunned at how many were there and that I hardly knew anyone. Three of my co-workers let me down after I told them I do not do well at these type of functions. I'm single, almost everyone else was either coupled up and/or with their own group.
Add alcohol = it was a nightmare.

Chicken pot pie, yes or no. - Maybe but doubtful.
Beef pot pie, yes or no. - I would definitely pass on that.
Cheese dip with guacamole, yes or no. - No.
Celery dipped in cheese, yes or no. - Just the celery.
Well then what would you like? - More sleep. I have to go to work later this morning. I do not have a day off this week so that as well. I couldn't turn down the overtime which doesn't come often.

Thanks, wit-nit.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday!
