Yes, it is rather intrusive, isn't it? I remember when I was on there, Facebook itself wanted you to put every single detail of your life on there. It wanted you to put a photo of yourself, mention where you live, where you work, what school you went to, etc...

As soon kids and silly stuff started to dominate there, I abandoned it like My Space.

I am on Facebook but rarely post anything and my bio is blank.

My pet peeve is the constant bombardment with..........."people you may know"

Just because I am friends with my adult cousin ( 900 miles away ) doesn't mean I know one of her co-workers.

Not interested in Facebook.

Straight from the police: Facebook is law enforcement's friend.
That's where they visit, first, when performing their investigations. In fact, any site, even this one, can reveal a lot. We should all become more wary about answering questions and telling too much.

I have a Facebook account but I rarely post anything these days. I do have many people that I like to stay in touch with and I enjoy seeing their posts and pictures. I also like the messenger app. When the teenage shorties were over we talked to their brother in Transylvania for free over the internet. It was also a great way for us to keep in touch with our house sitter when we're out of the country. I have a restricted account and only friends can view it. I have a friend in Scotland and I can talk to her via text on messenger for free too. We are 6 hours apart and it's nice to text quietly late at night vs skype. I like Facebook. It's kept me in touch with a lot of people I would have lost track of other wise.

I don't like the way it keeps on telling me, "You have a new friend suggestion". I'm wondering what this is based on, considering many look quite seedy looking characters. I'm thinking that if one were to friend these people, one could be, on some level, guilty by association.

Who really is it that wants me to have these, "friends", and why?
