Today's Random Questions:
Are you more outdoorsy or indoorsy? Love the outdoors! However, if it's hot and humid out and I'm not in water somewhere, I'd prefer to be indoors with A/C.

Do you ever wonder why CDers decide to resurrect old threads? No. I can pretty much guess why they do it. (1) They have a genuine interest in and something to add to an older topic which can still generate some good discourse. OR (2) They stumbled upon a C-D thread via a Google search and didn't realize the thread was old when they posted on it. OR (3) They're a troll just looking to stir up trouble.

Should corporations get to buy stadium names? No. I don't like it one bit! For example, I feel the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis should still be called the Hoosier Dome, and the corporate owner's/sponsor's name should be prominent but secondary to the name of the stadium.

If you designed the auto license plates where you live, funny or realistic, what emblem(s) might you use? A cornfield with a windmill and a sunset. (Indiana)

Tell us a place that has ridiculously expensive prices: Saks Fifth Avenue on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago.

If celebs don't like fame - complaining about attention yet posting pics on social media -
what's a tough job or jobs you'd like to see them try instead? Port-A-Potty service.

Foodie Question(s):
Tuh-MAY-toe or TuH-MAH-toe? Tuh-MAY-toe.

Cream of mushroom soup

What, if anything, do you eat with tofu in it? Nothing. Yuck. Ptooey. Ca-ca. Blecch!

This is a humdinger QOTD, bjh!

Today Includes:
Cream Filled Donut Day YUM!
Eat a Hoagie Day YUM YUM!
Live Creatively Day Okay, I'll try.

This Week Includes:
Hummingbird Celebration Love to watch hummers. I've only seen one in my yard a couple of times this summer. But then, I haven't been home much. They probably come when I'm not around.
Line Dance Week No, thanks. I'm not coordinated enough to do this.
Truck Driver Appreciation Week Let's hear it for the knights of the highway. (That's what my dad used to call them when I was a kid.)

Woofie checking in to say, "Hi!"

and here are . . .

Today's Random Questions:
Are you more outdoorsy or indoorsy?
Definitely indoorsy, I'm afraid of snakes, spiders, chiggers, fire ants and most of all - ticks.
Those things are prevalent around here and I cringe when I find a tick on myself - (throw up sound)

Do you ever wonder why CDers decide to resurrect old threads?
Not really, if it's a subject that's already been covered then resurrecting the thread is the best idea - makes for good reading

Should corporations get to buy stadium names?
No I don't believe they should but just my opinion

If you designed the auto license plates where you live, funny or realistic, what emblem(s) might you use?
Oh I don't know, Twisted Sister, Kiss (with Gene Simmons' tongue hanging out)
or any of the other hilariously made-up 80's hair bands. Unicorns with rainbows shooting out of their nostrils would be cool too (saw that on the side of a van in a commercial)

Tell us a place that has ridiculously expensive prices:
Biltmore House and Gardens in Asheville, NC. Man you better save for a year before you go there, it's become a real tourist trap and they have the prices to prove it.

If celebs don't like fame - complaining about attention yet posting pics on social media -
what's a tough job or jobs you'd like to see them try instead?
Working in a mill, working with my Dad in his insulation business in the 70's (this one in particular) working on an assembly line of any kind. Something mind-numbingly hard, boring and low-paying - that'll fix all those entitled whiney babies

Foodie Question(s):
Tuh-MAY-toe or TuH-MAH-toe?
tuh-may-toe for sure

Cream of _brocolli______________ soup

What, if anything, do you eat with tofu in it?
Not a damn thing, ew

Hi Hi

Today's Random Questions:
Are you more outdoorsy or indoorsy? I can enjoy both--depends on what I am doing.

Do you ever wonder why CDers decide to resurrect old threads? Nope, never crossed my mind to question it

Should corporations get to buy stadium names? It is all about $$$. I think it is rather silly way to name a Stadium

If you designed the auto license plates where you live, funny or realistic, what emblem(s) might you use? I would continue to use our flag--we have an awesome one

Tell us a place that has ridiculously expensive prices: Most recently--LAX airport food places.

If celebs don't like fame - complaining about attention yet posting pics on social media -
what's a tough job or jobs you'd like to see them try instead? I truly don't think they grasp the reality of their passion becoming big and taking away their privacy and the reality that once they get there it takes work to keep working in the business.

Today's Random Questions:
Are you more outdoorsy or indoorsy?
I'm an indoor girl.

Do you ever wonder why CDers decide to resurrect old threads?
Yes! Valid points are made about new information, but they try to engage OPs in conversation who haven't been on CD in years. There's a definite cluelessness to it.

Should corporations get to buy stadium names?
?

If you designed the auto license plates where you live, funny or realistic, what emblem(s) might you use?

Tell us a place that has ridiculously expensive prices:
Neiman Marcus

Garbage collector.

To-may-toe

Evenin' all!

Woofie checking in to say, "Hi!"
Hey there Woofie!

Today's Random Questions:
Are you more outdoorsy or indoorsy?
Indoorsy, unless the temps are mild and the humidity is low. Then I want to be outdoors as much as possible!

Do you ever wonder why CDers decide to resurrect old threads?
Sometimes. But other times I find it's interesting to take another look at an old thread.

Should corporations get to buy stadium names?
Oh dear, no! Every time the White Sox play, instead of crediting the founding team owner and calling it Comiskey Park like we used to, now we have to call it "Guaranteed Rate Field." Actually, only the officials have to call it that; TV news anchors, police, the mayor, people who work there...The rest of us will defiantly continue to call it Comiskey Park.

If you designed the auto license plates where you live, funny or realistic, what emblem(s) might you use?
I like one of the choices we have available. It's the State flag, and that makes a whole lot of sense to me for a license plate.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Indiana

Tell us a place that has ridiculously expensive prices:
A (good, BTW) restaurant "near" my house, which I will not name, has a plate of mac & cheese for $13.95. That's without bacon bits! It also has native duck breast (not the whole duck that you can find in the pond down the street mind you, just the breast) for $22.95!

If celebs don't like fame - complaining about attention yet posting pics on social media -
what's a tough job or jobs you'd like to see them try instead?
Being a nurse, a teacher, a waitress, or a garbage collector just for starters.
I'm lookin' at you Kim Kardashian.

Foodie Question(s):
Tuh-MAY-toe or TuH-MAH-toe?

Cream of _mushroom with roasted garlic_ soup

What, if anything, do you eat with tofu in it?
Many things. Sometimes a rice or noodle and vegetable dish, sometimes just breaded in rice flour and fried crisp, sometimes as a garnish on a sandwich...

Today's Random Questions:
Are you more outdoorsy or indoorsy?
I certainly spend more time indoors.

Do you ever wonder why CDers decide to resurrect old threads?
Sometimes, yes. If worthwhile thoughts are added, great. Otherwise I'm like

Should corporations get to buy stadium names?
This is one of my pet peeves. I do agree taxpayers shouldn't foot the bill for private business.
If that's not going on and it's simply them conducting business their way then it's none of
my business. Still it grates on me to have these awkward stadium names. I'd rather see
community names or maybe names honoring local people who deserve recognition.

If you designed the auto license plates where you live, funny or realistic, what emblem(s) might you use?
No one said potholes? I'd say music, maybe a guitar and musical notes.

Tell us a place that has ridiculously expensive prices:
Every city seems to have a couple of really expensive Sunday brunches. For the price some
should come with a dental check up or at least a tire rotation.

If celebs don't like fame - complaining about attention yet posting pics on social media -
what's a tough job or jobs you'd like to see them try instead?
Flipping burgers, mowing lawns, or almost any customer service job for at least six months.

Foodie Question(s):
Tuh-MAY-toe or TuH-MAH-toe?
Grew up saying Tuh-MAY-toe. Did you know the original word is Xitomatl ?! It's an Aztec
word originally and is said something like HEE-
toe-maht-uhl. We all stand corrected.

Tomato factoids: https://allspiceonline.com/blog/you-...uit-yes-fruit/

Cream of _celery_________ soup Good in casseroles.

What, if anything, do you eat with tofu in it?
Hot and sour soup at Chinese buffets.

Thanks, everyone! Hope your weekend is a humdinger!
