Records (those round black discs).

6 candy bars for a quarter.

McDonalds had just started when I was 12.

I remember when Kennedy was shot; we were all sent home from school.

I too remember the TV playing the star spangled banner when signing off.

Later in my life the state I live in had to make it a legal infraction to leave your keys in your car's ignition (too many thefts) yea laugh; I use to leave my keys in the car all the time.

I was really young, but I do remember when my grandparents didn't have a telephone. They lived out in the country and were one of the last families to get one. They borrowed the neighbor's if there was an emergency.

I think I was 4 when they finally got a phone, and every time it rang all the kids would come running in anticipation. You always thought it might be someone important! Not like today where you hate to hear the #@*& thing ring, since it's always a telemarketer.

Well I am obviously not as old as some of y'all. But I do feel old when I have to explain to my wife (6 years younger) who Rosie the Bounty lady was. She is also too young to remember VCRs without a wireless remote, TVs with a dial and when HBO was not on 24 hours a day.

I'm so old-----"Old Timers" used to add salt to their beer to maintain the "Head". Bartenders used to ask if you wanted a "Coney Island" (referring to the head on you beer). Ballantine was advertized as the "3 ring sign".
