-Have you ever been to Alaska? No, I haven't. Mr. Bay was stationed in Alaska when he was in the Army, so he has lots of stories.
-If not, how come? I'd love to go. I was invited to join two other women on a cruise to Alaska this September, but I had to give it a pass because the cabin is tiny, I'm an introvert who needs my space, and I've never even met one of the women (the other is an old friend). But I'm actually thinking I might go if I could get a last-minute deal on a single cabin.

I can't think of anything right now, but I do remember some pretty weird fiascos at the TV station when equipment died just before air time or somebody made an embarrassing technical mistake on the air. Once when the anchors were reading the "Coming up at 11" tease before the commercial break, I accidentally played cuckoo clock sound effects instead of the news theme.
