Yesterday evening I got pulled over by a cop for looking at my phone while waiting at red light..anyways, after I got home, I received a call from an unknown number. I pick up, a guy introduced himself as so and so from the police department and asked how I was. Then the phone hung up. It freaked me out a little, like why would someone from the police department call me? Im pretty sure I never break the law other than looking at my phone while behind the wheel lol. I called back the number but it’s an auto voice. What do you guys think happened?
Do you get sales calls on your phone? Maybe it was a scam. Maybe it was a huge coincidence, and someone was about to scam you by impersonating the police.
OR, maybe the cop turned your info in to the station, and someone looked you up somehow, and found your phone number?

I did receive a phone call from police before, it was when I hit a parked car and left my number. The dick car owner then called the police and have the police to contact me. So I was nervous when someone said he’s from police department.

So I take it you never made things right after damaging someone else's vehicle?
