Isn't it very stange that color photography existed since 1870s but in 1970s, people still had black and white pictures?

In Turkey, even in first 5 years of 1980s, people had black and white photos. Lol.

Back in the 70s I had photo processing equipment as a hobby, including a contact printer, enlarger, and print dryer. I never got the chemicals to do color, because I considered black and white to be artistic. Even today you will see digital photographers, including at weddings, doing some shoots in B & W.

Until mid 80s, people had black and white photos in Turkey. It was because it was impossible to have them otherwise.

I think it's no stranger to me than the fact that the Dodge Brothers started out in the early 1910s using 12 volt systems in their cars while everyone else was using 6-volt until the 1950s when most went to 12-volt.

Some people are simply ahead of their times.

What's wrong with B&W photos? I often like them better than color.
