I sorta ran over my garbage pulling out of the driveway this morning
I learned that a can of carpet freshener will explode all over the street if run over by a car
....
Just a quick question Karla, how do you "sorta" run over your garbage can?
Years ago, I ran over a skunk on the way to Flagstaff, and he sprayed the underneath of the front of my car! I guess that was his way of leaving his mark, so to speak, before going to skunk heaven! I also remember I had a real hard time getting rid of the smell too because some of the spray got into a portion of the radiator ahead of the fan.

Okay, I picked 12 cups of blackberries, rinses them, now they are in refrigerator with sugar poured over them. cobbler to make later. Had to take a long hot shower after picking them. Between the bug spray and the minor thorn stabs, I was a mess.
Spread mulch on a path behind boulder garden. Finished laundry, finally!
Can I count what I did yesterday? I have a large storage building/shed behind our home. No basement, so I sometimes call this my basement. Anyway, I moved everything to one side, swept, moved things back, did the other side. Packed Rubbermaid storage containers with 'things', labeled them, and then stacked them.
I am now in the office/family room getting ready to go through boxes, pitch things, label others, and get ready for a yard sale, Again!!! Neighbor called and is having one at the end of the month and asked if I would like to have mine then also. Well, of course. Let's see if this one actually happens. I still have most everything already priced and ready to go. Whoo Hoo.
I got more done today than I wanted or planned!!! Woo hoo!
Planned on
Mowing: done
Use the mulch in the pitiful veggie garden: done
Pick up another 6 bags of mulch (max that fits in trunk): done and carried to back.
Not planned:
Buy some Sedum. Found a six pack at Lowes for $10.98 Coral Carpet. 2-4" spreads 24". Less than $2.00 a pack. Not too bad. Excellent find for the rock garden still under construction.
Buy a yard swing. Is that what it's called? Seats three, has an awning, and swings. Something we've mumbled about for years and I happened to walk past one about a week ago at Lowes. Took wife to see it and we (she) thought about it for a bit. Yesterday it was decided. Got it put together and carried into the spot under a shade tree.
Very nice.
Still planning on having the back yard done by winter.

lol well they were garbage bags I stopped putting my cans out because I got tired of them throwing the empty can in my garden
The neighborhood lawn mowing guy was across the street and I needed to talk to him so I guess I sorta pulled out closer to the garbage side of the drive
thats when I heard "thump pop" lol then of course when I realized I had driven over I had to put the car in forward and drive over it again
and wouldn't you know of course it split the bags wide open so I had to go into the garage and get new bags to rebag everything
oh yeah and did I mention I was dressed in nice clothes
I also learned that the carpet freshener foam smell is really tough to remove from your hands it is kinda ironic because I threw them out because I didn't like the sent and I was stuck with it on my hands for a good part of the day
lol I think the garbage bags will go in front of the curb instead of the end of the driveway from now on
oh wait that won't work because then I would have to tell Mr Karla why I want them in a new place and I really don't think he needs to be able to bust my chops on this little adventure
rofl I can hear him now
"you ran over what then he would start laughing and say I would probably not be sharing that story with anyone"

This reminds me of something my brother and I did when we were kids. We dropped something gooey, I forget what the first item was, on the neighbor's sidewalk. Rather than spend time picking it up we ground it into the sidewalk. Since we really disliked that neighbor anytime we walked past their house, with something we were eating or drinking, we ground part of it into the sidewalk. This was great fun. We had a large black spot on their sidewalk that kept getting bigger. Then my mom saw what we were doing. It took us a long time to clean that mess.
Had you driven over your garbage 20 or 30 times you could have blamed it on "Drug craised teenagers and asked Mr Karla to clean it.
