I like them as long as I'm not the center of attention

What was your last surprise ? Monday, my husband wanted me to go to this farm where he was cutting hay and I didn't want to go, he said just ride with me because he had to pick something up and we would leave, so I finally agreed.

Happy weekend, ALL!

[Today's Question(s):

Where is the funniest/strangest place you have "dozed off"
I can doze of on busses and passenger seats of other vehicles easily enough. But when I was in the Air Force, I had a colleague who could doze off ANYWHERE. Especially since we were on the midnight shift. While working on the Air Force's navigator trainer (a B737), he went to sleep STANDING up in the entry way of an aircraft. One of my coworkers found him. The coworker slid past him and activated the aircratft's stall warning horn test button as the rest of us looked on. The guy asleep woke up with the biggest start I've ever seen....

Do you like surprises ? As long as they are GOOD surprises...

Today's Question(s):

Where is the funniest/strangest place you have "dozed off" ? We went camping during a draught. During the evening it started to rain so hard the camp flooded the tent was washed out. Everyone piled into the truck to escape the rain. It was so cramped, I crawled out, put a blanket over me and slept in about 4 inches of water with my head propped up on a rock. I was a little dirty and wrinkled in the morning, but was the only one that slept. Maybe not the safest thing to do, but you reach a point of fatigue that you don't care.

Bonus Question :

Do you like surprises ? Good ones!

What was your last surprise ? My girlfriend really does love me, though I'm an obnoxious *****!

Extra Credit Question:
With summer right around the corner and vacations coming up

What is your favorite non traditional travel tip ?Stop at every antique shop, truck stop and buy lots of junk you don't need!!

Just for Fun:
How many aprons do you have in your home ? Aprons, WHAT ARE THOSE??
How many buckets would we find at your home ? About 20 in the garage. Storing hardware, pet supplies, for cleaning fish tank and reptile enclosures, for scrubbing truck and house.

Where is the funniest/strangest place you have "dozed off" ?

Under a bridge in the middle of an Arizona desert while hitchhiking back from LA.

Bonus Question :

Do you like surprises ? No

What was your last surprise ?

Extra Credit Question:
With summer right around the corner and vacations coming up

What is your favorite non traditional travel tip ?

When looking for a hotel go to their web site and check for restaurants, etc in the area. If you see national chains it's probably a good place to stay. If their site doesn't give this info go to Google maps, find the hotel and ask for restaurants in the city. You can then see what is around the hotel. This has worked 99% of the time for us.

Just for Fun:
How many aprons do you have in your home ? 2 I think
How many buckets would we find at your home ? At least 6

Hi QOD peeps! Feel better Karla - thanks for doing the ??? despite being buggy.

Today's Question(s):

Where is the funniest/strangest place you have "dozed off"? Doctor's waiting room.

Do you like surprises? Yes, but prefer them to be GOOD ones.

What was your last surprise? My hubby brought me a Skor bar.

Favorite non traditional travel tip? If you're in a city, explore. Rent a car and drive, drive, drive - don't even follow a map except to find your way back. Or take a bus, the rail, a taxi or walk. It's amazing the things you'll discover just wandering around.

How many aprons do you have? 3 plus a whole bunch of vintage ones that belonged to my mom and grandmother
How many buckets? 3 or more

1783 - Benjamin Tower publishes 1st daily newspaper in U.S. - and bird cages everywhere get a new type of floor liner
1848 - William G. Young patents ice cream freezer - because no one likes melted ice cream
1889 - Brassier invented - a necessary evil now
1901 - Memorial Day 1st observed in U.S. - good day to observe
1922 - Lincoln Memorial dedicated - go Abe

taciturn \TAS-uh-turn\ , adjective: Habitually silent; not inclined to talk.
We all know that describes me perfectly.

National Mint Julep Day - nooo
Compact Disc Day - we have those coming out the wazoo
Water a flower Day - I did and it died
My bucket's got a hole in it day - why celebrate something broken?
