Temp in the shade of the backyard was 110 this afternoon. The weatherman is saying Sunday it'll be up to 116.

Don't let anyone tell you that Covid-19 will die in the hot summer temps. AZ is having big issues. The nation is only 4% of the population of the work, yet has 25% of the world's Covid-19 cases.

Spent the day in Albuquerque:

Spectacular in the morning, bright sunshine, upper 70s.
Early afternoon, upper 90's, very HOT
Went up the Tramway, low 80's, sprinkles, mostly cloudy
Back down, upper 80's, overcast.
Dark, still warm, low 80's.

Could be worse, but I could do without that early afternoon business.

Hit 100 today in Grand Junction. A worrisome development an hour from my house--a wildfire that went to 1000 acres in no time east of meeker, BLM and local volunteers are fighting 95 degree temps, 35-40 mph winds, and 4% humidity.

Currently, 74°F, mostly clear. Heard rumblings of thunder. Walked out to deck a couple of times, expecting to see rain. Nothing. Unless it just sprinkled some, or the rain is still a possibility later into the evening.

I was barely even outside today, so I don't really know.

It was upper 80's when I left home around 6:30pm. Mostly cloudy.

Bedding down in Eagle, CO for the night. 59F and clear, but it feels much warmer than that.
