It is 5 degrees. Not 25. Not 15. Just 5. We have 4 to 5 inches of snow on the ground. At least the sky is clear.

Currently 17° and gray skies. There's still snow on the ground from yesterday.

15 degrees. 2 with windchill. Still a tiny bit of snow in patches. We didn't get the blizzard they had forecast for us last night.

Another major storm heading northerly up the coast? Yesh.

Tonight and into tomorrow.
Be careful for those traveling out there on the roads and even at home. I just saw on the news, two people going out doors and sliding off their porches/stoops. I've done that before. Major ouch.

34°F, Fog here.

Thank you. Maybe it could be compared to a couple weeks in August in the North with highs of 105 or more. We're ready for that.

Right now it's 10 degrees. Our high was 14. Tonight's low is expected to be 2. At least we had a clear day. Tuesday night to Wednesday morning chance for more sleet and snow is 100%. We may climb out of the deep freeze by Friday.

Your homes aren't insulate like ours are - or maybe they are to protect you from the heat. We start a gradual warm up Wed when it will be 12+ (yes, that's a +) with +1 low. Fri it will be (drum roll) +21 with low 0. Big improvement.

It's the ice you all got hit with - nobody can drive on ice - certainly not anyone here.

Just imagine:
Outside is 15F, going to drop to 9F overnight and I am sitting in a dark (power outage since 5 PM) cold house (no power, no heater) - stores and restaurant were closed most of the day (outages, cold and snow, road closures).
Inside the house temps are dropping fast (currently 48F) and I dream about something warm to drink. It's pitch dark (well, a candle is burning) and super quiet. The only thing I hear is water dripping from various faucets (freeze preventive measure).
No bueno....

I wish I am in a warm, well insulated house and don't have to go through power failures - they pretty much never happen in my home country.
