Bonus Question:

As mentioned before it is "turn back the clocks" time for most of us, so I have to ask
Will you turn them back
Before you go to bed tonight ?
or
When you get up tomorrow morning ?
Have you ever been late or early because you forgot it was time to change the clocks ?
Well, if you live in Arizona and turn back the clocks tonight, you'll be in trouble... Again, Arizona does not go on DST in the spring, we stay on Mountain Standard Time all year long.

I declare an end to spring forward, and fall back, for all the United States!

Extra Credit Question:
Time to make you work
Work? Hey it's Saturday!... unless somebody turned the clocks way back to Friday morning.. which means I gotta be at the office..

What year did the state you live in become a state ?
Valentine's Day 1912.

Did you know this or did you have to look it up ?
I knew it.. how could anybody forget Valentine's Day?

Just for Fun:

Who remembers the little UNICEF boxes you would take trick or treating ?
Did you ever take one ?
When I go trick or treating tonight, I usually take some plastic grocery bags..

UNICEF... No, but I have taken regular cardboard boxes that said "Del Monte", and "Libby's" on them....

I've seen them in the past, and I don't remember using them when I was a kid..

Today's Question(s):
Inspired by some of the posts in Suncoast Guy's did you know

Would you/could you live next door to a cemetery ?
I really don't think it would be a problem.

Have you ever been to any really old or historic cemeteries ?
We've been to Ben Franklin's grave in Philadelphia, Arlington Cemetery, Jefferson's grave at Montecello, Gettysburg, the Hermitage, and many others. Bob Hope's brother is buried in a little cemetery in my hometown. Does that make that one historical?

Bonus Question:

As mentioned before it is "turn back the clocks" time for most of us, so I have to ask

Will you turn them back
Before you go to bed tonight ? Most of them.
or
When you get up tomorrow morning ?

Or over the next few days as we get around to it. We have a couple that adjust themselves.

Have you ever been late or early because you forgot it was time to change the clocks ?
Not that I remember.

Extra Credit Question:
Time to make you work

What year did the state you live in become a state ?
1803 - Now which state is it?

Did you know this or did you have to look it up ?
Knew it.

Just for Fun:

Who remembers the little UNICEF boxes you wold take trick or treating ?
I do.

Did you ever take one ?
We lived out in the country and did very little trick or treating.

Have a great weekend, everyone. We have a halloween block party tonight, no costumes, just hot dogs, chili, munchies, and a good time.

Absolutely. I would think that would be a vast improvement over lots of other neighbors.

Have you ever been to any really old or historic cemeteries ?
I have visited lots of old cemeterys....along the Freedom trail in Boston....but also little country church yards and some of the town cemeterys in NH and Maine....I love old cemeterys.
Bonus Question:

As mentioned before it is "turn back the clocks" time for most of us, so I have to ask

The digital clocks I usually do in the morning. The bedroom hand set clock...will do tonight.

Have you ever been late or early because you forgot it was time to change the clocks ?
Not recently but in my past....yes.
Extra Credit Question:

What year did the state you live in become a state ?

It was in 1820....prior to that it was the "District of Maine" and was part of Massachussets.

Did you know this or did you have to look it up ? I didnt know the year....I knew it was part of MA.

Just for Fun:

Who remembers the little UNICEF boxes you wold take trick or treating ?
Me.
Did you ever take one ?

Today's Question(s):
Would you/could you live next door to a cemetery ?
I have a close relative who lived across the street from a cemetery and had no problem with that. When visiting there I had no problem either.

Deceased people can't do anything to a living person. The ones to watch out for at a cemetery are unfortunately potential vandals. Otherwise, it is a place people remember their loved ones and honor human memory. That's not scary.

Have you ever been to any really old or historic cemeteries ?
Yes. As a part of genealogy I have been to really old places in both Mass. and NY.

Bonus Question:
As mentioned before it is "turn back the clocks" time for most of us, so I have to ask
I haven't changed a single clock yet, but will no doubt later tonight.

Have you ever been late or early because you forgot it was time to change the clocks ?
Yes, to church both times.

Extra Credit Question:
What year did the state you live in become a state ?
I was born in Texas and know it became a state in 1845. Tennessee? I don't know.

Okay I looked it up...Tenn. 1796. I'm impressed.

Just for Fun:
Who remembers the little UNICEF boxes you wold take trick or treating ? Did you ever take one ?
Never heard of that.

Today in History:
834 - 1st All Hallows Eve (Halloween) observed to honor the saints the holiday predates 834 and Christianity. it is a remnant of an ancient Celtic festival

Today's Question(s):
Inspired by some of the posts in Suncoast Guy's did you know

Would you/could you live next door to a cemetery ? We live across the street from a cemetery. My sisters' house is located at the opening of a large old cemetery. She has the cemetary on three sides of her and woodland on the fourth side.

Have you ever been to any really old or historic cemeteries ? One of our favorite pastimes is walking the old cemeteries and admiring the old stones. They are the most peaceful places, it's like your in another world. We have a large colony of foxes living in the one across the street.
