Is there any? What are the job prospects for hotel workers? I"ll be coming to Canada in a working holiday visa soon and I prefer Ottawa of all places.

Yes there are jobs in the tourism field. There are more in the summer but winter is not totally dead either as there is a big winter festival (Winterlude) as well as winter sports in general.

In Ottawa much of the industry revolves around the official capital, with Parliament, and other federal institutions and museums. And of course urban delights.

In Gatineau it revolves around the Casino du Lac Leamy and the great outdoors.

Bilingualism is a huge asset and is even essential for many tourism industry jobs.
