That we are!

And Hopes: All I use is Vicks 44 cough syrup. And it's the alcohol that helps as much as anything. My system won't tolerate much else and the combinations in Nyquil do me in. I can't even take Cold Tylenol.

If you're in the supermarket go look at the herb teas. Some of them are geared for colds/flu. If your stomach gets upset make a good strong cup of Jasmine tea. (I use Jasmine tea as a cure-all but it's especially good for nausea.)

Hope you feel better soon.

I know that since I used to live there. It's just a suggestion if the Colorado academy doesn't work out for some reason. For as many gangs as the city has, I don't recall many officer injuries. Plus, the police force is not just for the city of Riverside. She could end up working somewhere else.

We had a huge Chinese Elm that shaded our house. (Air conditioning on the cheap.) Every time a Santa Ana hit it would snap off huge branches onto our roof. And Santa Anas always seemed to hit when DH was out of town. I went up on the roof many, many times with the lopers and hand shears cutting that thing back. There's something wonderful about being up on a roof in L.A. when the wind has blown the smog away and it's clear and you can see for miles.

She also said she likes the beach, and it's only a bit from the beach. She could go on her off time if she really wanted to. I know some people who work for the department, and they like working there.

ugh! That's why we live in a newer house. We've had enough problems, though. Our washing machine overflowed and flooded the kitchen and dripped into the basement. Then the water valve on an upstairs toilet leaked and water started dripping out the kitchen light fixture!

They'd eat her alive out there. If she can't handle BFE (or whatever she calls it where she lives) Riverside would send her into the fetal position. Nice idea, psr, and it's good of you to suggest it but...

Yeah, I tend to agree. She might end up in Rialto or San Bernadino. Or Fontana. Nothing against our neighbors in the Inland Empire, but it's not really a good fit for a naive young lady.

Counting down to the "I'm not naive" in 10..9..8.....
