Come on after all "real" men work 10-12 hours a day come home and get drunk then beats the kids and/or the wife.
We sure do, hells yeah, gitterdone!
I work all day and have limited time with my kids, who have a SAHM. Why the hell isn't my dinner ready every night? Why isn't she waiting for me with a drink and in her negligee? She's HORRRIBLE! Not much of a wife, even if she's a good mom. Sheesh, what have I done to deserve this!?!!!
That isn't necessary. If dad got a part time job to replace mom's part time job, she could be home with the kids while he works. As things are, mom isn't seeing her kids. How is that good?
What do you say to dads who work and don't get to see their kids too much? How is that good?

Using the same standards jersey does .... YOUR wife is a lazy bum ....

The same thing. I always have. I think kids have two parents and benefit from time with both. While I hate to see situations where one parent works ridiculous hours and never sees the kids, IF it is done, it needs to be by agreement. Personally, I don't know why anyone would agree to it though.
Personally, I think two parents working so both have time for their kids is preferable to one working two jobs and having little time with the kids while the other has lots of time with the kids.
I have a SS who lives this way. It is not ideal by any means. His kids are pretty much growing up without a father. I can't see ddil working though. It would make no sense since they don't need the money and it won't change how much time he has with the kids. She is raising the kids and he's just a paycheck though. There's no getting around that.

I don't think Jersey is saying that all SAHP's are lazy bums. I think she's saying that ones who refuse to get jobs so that the other parent can have some time with the kids are lazy bums and I'd agree with that assessment. Expecting someone else to work two jobs and never see their kids so you can SAH isn't right.

So you think it would be okay for him to DEMAND she gets a job so he can be home more?
Hey if we are going to stereotype SAH men as lazy bums we need to stereotype "real" men too.
Whatever, but my post had nothing to do with either subject. To reiterate, it appears the problem is the relationship BEYOND the father part.
