When my son was just under two years old, I found him standing at the warm sun-room window plucking off unlucky lady bugs and popping one after another into his mouth! Yuck - I can still hear that crunch!

My son has a long history of eating things he shouldn't. He was famous for eating dirt, or at least licking it off his hands when he was small. I had sticks of butter in the freezer and set one stick on the counter to thaw. The next morning my 2 year old was under the table and he took a bite out of it with the wrapper still on it. He also ate rolly pollies when he was about 2. When he was 3 he ran up to my sister yelling 'The ants, the ants!'. He stuck his tongue out and there were at least a dozen little sugar ants crawling on his tongue. My sister still gets grossed out about that one. He has also ate the giant carpenter ants. My son has also said pine needles and pine sap taste gross. Living in the forest opens up alot of taste testing opportunities for adventurous children.

When my son was about two, he discovered strawberries in the garden. He also discovered that he preferred eating the ones that had a snail grazing on them. *shudder*

Took me a while to break him of that habit. Raw escargot with strawberries...

My son ate a Christmas light when he was 3. We paniced and headed up to the ER. The Doc just smiled said" this to shall pass" and gave him a scrip for an ice cream

Not too weird but my brother has eaten flour by itself, and an entire spoonful of sugar before my mom could grab him. On the weird side he's eaten sheet rock, paper.

No bugs yet thank goodness

these stories remind me of the time my cousins and i were at grandma's house. there was nothing really to play with, so we decided to hide objects and then find them. my cousin decided to hide a penny---in her stomach! oh boy---boiled potatoes for a week!

Crayons, in thirds or fourths. They came out exactly as they went in. That CAN'T feel good, especially for a little kid's bottom.
