Employing a nanny to look after your baby son could turn him into serial womaniser, claims a psychiatrist.

In the book The Unsolicited Gift, Dr Dennis Friedman said delegating child-rearing responsibilities too soon risks equipping your son with life-long double standards when it comes to women.

so what is the difference between having a nanny and mommy staying home with him? having a woman rearing a child makes him a womanizer? i would think it would depend on the type of woman! hopefully he would learn to appreciate and respect women!

That may be because the boy had two immediate women caring for & nurturing him while coming up, & more than likely, the other immediate woman was someone other than grandma or a relative.

What a child receives while they are young is what they usually expect when they get older.

Maybe that's why they turn into womanizer because they think it will take more than one woman to fulfill that emotional need.

It's also a since of greed because they were bought up with the idea that "it's ok to have more that one woman to love you".

That's why they say be careful what you teach toddlers.

Oh please, what a joke.

I'm going to start writing my book about how if you employ a "Manny" (male nanny) for a girl it turns the girls into 'man-izers'

See just how easy and stupid it is?

As evidence of why this is nonsense - the conclusion based upon the author's reasoning would be that as adults children cared for by relatives would conclude that relationships with more than one woman in the same family is appropriate because why would a child distinguish between familial relations (unless you concede that culture and maturity and age influence decisions).

If this is a theory - I agree with Bella and Im going to get going on a bunch of idiotic theories myself.
