Everyone should be a cautious driver.

I don't know about that. Are McKees Rocks and Coraopolis better than Turtle Creek and Blackridge? Is Crafton better than Forest Hills? Is Stowe nicer than Wilmerding?

Yes Crafton is nicer than Forest Hills. I think west is consistently decent. East has a good inner ring, surrounded by less than desirable suburbs.

Beaver Falls, the city, is pretty dumpy. Its own suburbs, Patterson Hts, Patterson Twp and Chippewa Twp are pretty nice. Patterson Hts and Twp are both older "streetcar suburb" type places. Chippewa is an old, and I do mean old, farming community turned 1960s style suburbs. There are some nice homes on large lots there. White Twp is another nice older suburb (of BF).

People in this region take "cautious" to an unnecessary level.

Agreed. Cautious driving is very closely related to timid, confused, "who should go here, should I go" driving. And I'll take assertive, self-assured driving over that any day.
