We have zeroed in on some apts near strafford station (near Wayne). Howz the locality? I understand that Strafford is an unincorporated town.What does that mean? Will have to commute to Philly downtown daily.Any insights wud help.

In PA, an unincorporated town is a place that is in a township. The township itself IS incorporated. The town itself does not have any services that are town-specific; the services available are township-specific.

Wayne itself is very nice. The "downtown" part of Wayne is generally frequented by the upper-income locals. There's probably 10 or so different places to eat, some shops, etc. The housing in Wayne is generally expensive. It's part of what is called the Main Line. I would guess the commute to Center City would be about 1/2 hr or so, but check the train schedules at septa.org. I think the school district is Treddyfrin-Easttown, which is excellent.

Strafford is nice (I grew up there) and quiet but expensive..Very close to the
train station..the apts are very close to the station easy walking distance..
