Nowadays, under the Democrats' temporary "leadership, "free" means somebody else paid for it for you, or you stole it!

Which solar company said it would be free?

Take a look at this ad: https://local.solarpowerprograms.com...529658fad4d956.

It reads: Lower your electric bill, No power outages, go green. But the headline is "GET PAID TO GO SOLAR". Doesn't that imply: Free, Free, Free? Better yet, you even get paid to do it!

That is an ad about solar panel installation on your home. I am going to assume based on your comments that you didn't go ahead with the installation? If my assumption is correct, no idea what your beef is.

The business model for solar panels has been the same for years, they will pay for or subsidize installation of solar panels. When it is sunny out, your house is powered and the surplus energy produced is purchased by the power company. When its night time, or just cloudy, you are plugged into the grid and get charged for the energy used just like everybody else.

The "free" part is yes, the energy your panels are producing gives you free energy, because you generated it.

Did someone here think their neighbor's solar panels would them free electricity? Or that ad had anything to with a massive solar farm that is replacing a coal plant?

The part about adding value to your home is a bit dubious but I am struggling how that ad is related to your respective local utility raising their prices.
