Haircuts for Men in Snyder county area
I have been cutting my own hair for about six years but have decided to grow it a bit longer and now need to find a place to have it cut. I had been getting my hair cut by somebody in our housing area before I started doing it on my own but they are no longer listed in the phone book and pretty sure are closed. I'm not interested in going to a barber. Anybody know places in the Selinsgrove/Middleburg/Shamokin Dam/Sunbury area that offer decent priced dry men haircuts? What would the prices range from? Thanks for any suggeestions.

Good old barber shops are few and far between. I got mine cut at Master Cuts , at the Mall. It was a few years ago but then I think it cost around 10 bucks. A few of my friends get theirs cut at the Hairquarters in Selinsgrove. Not sure how much they are ...............One more place is Joyce Broscious beauty shop in Port Trevorton. She does a nice job for about 6-8 bucks.

Thanks for the options to check out. The 6-8 bucks one seems right down my alley I just can't see paying a ton for a haircut. I'll have to call the other places too and check them out. Thanks for posting them!

I used to do my husband's and two sons' hair, but now they go to Hairquarters in downtown Selinsgrove (across from the Commons and almost next to BJ's). You have your choice of Jerry, Duane or Etta (a woman). My husband refuses to go anywhere without a barber pole. All three of my guys get shampoos and cuts for $12. I don't know what a dry cut would be, but I'd guess a bit less. They do walk-ins but appointments are appreciated (374-4413). They're closed Sunday and Monday. They're open Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00 to 5:30; Thursday and Friday 9:00 to 7:00; and Saturday 9:00 to 1:00. (No, I don't have it memorized - I have one of their business cards in front of me.)

LeeMar or anybody else......would you happen to have the phone number for Joyce Broscious' beauty shop in Port Trevorton? The number listed online gives a "not in service" message when I call. I couldn't find a listing in the phone book (I always seem to have issues with our phone books finding certain numbers lol!). I'm going to give Hairquarters a call on Tuesday to check them out too.

Thanks for the number and much appreciated I'm going to give her a call tomorrow and also check out Hairquarters too. I kind of like the small home type shops so thinking I'll try both at some point. Thanks again.

I've been busy and haven't had time to call till today. Dry men's haircut at Hairquarters is $14 and I got the answering machine at Joyce B's....will try again tomorrow morning. Probably won't go the Hairquarters route unless other places in the area are just as much for dry haircuts. I hate being cheap but you gotta be I guess in today's economy
