What are the decent but also cheaper hotels/motels/resorts to stay in Pensacola? It will be 6 of us at least and maybe 8. I was born in Pensacola and wife and kids have never been there and I haven't been back in 17 years. I stayed at the Howard Johnson I believe it was it was near a bridge and down the road from a Whataburger....trying to stay between 50-75$ range for at least 4 nights.

That is a very low budget and won't get you anywhere near the beach. I would use Hotel.com or Tripadvisor as they will have ratings of the hotels as well as price. Time of year will make a difference too.

Not near the beach is fine. I am also interested in any vacation rentals....if I can get my folks to come then price budget will go up for sure. We are leaving May 26th to come down there.

Well since that is the kickoff weekend for the summer (memorial day is the 29) I doubt you will find a vacation rental (if you mean condo etc) for that price. If you up your budget to $150 you will still only get a 1 bedroom one bathroom sort of place. You could stay in a hotel in the Northwest Section of town for that price, but no where across the bridge for that price...that week.

There are other places to find rentals like Vrbo that might have a last minute opening/cancelation.

And if you don't mind me adding my $.02 - be careful of using Craigslist in a last ditch effort to find something. There is a (unfortunately) huge issue with fraudsters copying pictures of rentals, cars, etc. from other sales sites and postings and posting to Craigslist as if it were there rental. Awful that you have to worry about that.

Anyway, hope you find something, good luck and enjoy!!
