Hello,

I have lived in New York nearly all my life, and I will be leaving the state over the summer to take a teaching position in Pensacola/Santa Rosa County. I don't know much at all about areas in the county, so it would be great if you guys could give me a little information about the areas/towns in the county. I will probably be looking to rent at first, cheap but nice area if that is possible (few and far between here in NY)! Also, which areas are best for a single, 23-year-old who enjoys sports/tennis/fishing? Not sure if it matters, but I am politically conservative and raised both Christian/Jewish, although religion isn't a huge deal for me. Anything else you can tell me about the county would be greatly appreciated, I am very excited to move down in a few months! Thank you so much

Live close to where you will be teaching. Santa Rosa County is huge and has a body of water between it so it's hard to recommend someplace to live without knowing if you're working in the southern part of the county or the northern.

AustinTraveler thank you for that tip, I will keep it in mind for sure when looking for a place. Unfortunately I don't know which part of the county I'll be working in just yet, but I would like to get an idea of the cost of living, potential towns/cities to live in, things like that before I head in. Thank you again for all the information
