Has any one here used any one of these "People find" web sites? If so, how reliable are they? Are they rip off's? I've been tempted to use one but I've been told they're very hard to get rid of once you sign in.

Most of them want you to pay money before you get any real information. I've used all of them at some point just to see if I can pick up a tiny bit of information that I didn't already have, or to verify a location that I had found. Never paid, so don 't know what I would have found out. I paid for a private search one time and the results came back with everything I had already found. Waste of money. You just have to pick and choose.

Intelius

Intelius has been directly successful in finding three people that were being looked for. Once by paying to see more and the other two by just criss crossing names. If we were successful with that site, I'm sure many others have been too.
